At what point does the shame become too much? To unbearable? That the country with access to the largest player base still needs to poach from one of the smallest:
Wales age grade star Callum Sheedy called up by England after lighting up the Premiership this season

He's had a stunning season with Bristol and England have come calling

The Cardiff born-and-raised Callum Sheedy has been called up to the England squad for next Sunday’s game against the Barbarians.

The Bristol Bears outside-half is eligible for three countries in all - Wales through birth, Ireland through his father and England through residency.

Good motivation to then, plus there is the benefit of having more options and higher paid options to play for clubs in the prem instead of maybe having to go back to welsh clubs and the pro14?

The policy has to be if good enough and they qualify pick them. Do not let racism or xenophobia play any part in the decision. We must resist people like JTB

Seems to be an Irish lad raised in England who had the misfortune to be born in Cardiff, and so was poached early by the Welsh on the flimsiest of connections.
This match won't tie him to England.

It's a non capped/binding game.

Shocking attack on the innocence of the Welsh game by the gnashing, marauding, pillaging English.

Today the players. Tomorrow your daughters.

Be alert my Welsh friends.

So an Irish lad is being poached by both England and Wales.....

Fuckers have no shame. Largest rugby country in the world and the only country next to NZ where it is the national game.

Except rugby isn't Ireland's national game, and you missed SA, Wales, Madagascar and Georgia

What you seem to be missing is that Sheedy is part of that player base.

You can't accuse us of having an unfair advantage because of our large player base AND criticise us for picking them.

Well, you can... you are. But you shouldn't.

Obviously don't want to blow this into something more than it is, but that sounds like something Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin, or lets face it... Satan would say as they picked on people

Have their own principality. Some people have argued they are a different country who just have weird accents, sing lots about leeks and how great Wales is and splutter flem at you trying to explain place names.

No. It's an England XV. The rfu have never awarded test status to a match against the barbarians.

It's barely even an England D team. 2, maybe 3, capped players and all of them miles away from the senior side.

It's a profoundly pointless fixture, particularly in a World Cup year, and Eddie seems to be making the point by taking the piss with selection.

Yes that's the reason, not that after his A team was monstrously dicked in the fixture last year he's trying to save face

By having nothing to do with it?

Mallinder is the coach for England in this fixture

Pointless fixture.

Sheedy has had an excellent season but realistically he has been selected because this fixture won’t include anyone who will be in our RWC training squad (Farrell, Ford, Cipriani) or in the Premiership final (Joe Simmonds, Malins).
