Did you watch the ABs vs Aussies.
There was a classic number 7 who deserves all the credit

You think Salakaia-Loto is better than PSdT?
You understand the different numbering conventions?

The case remain that PSDT is one of our most important players, and almost everyone agrees to this.

They are all important. I just don't appreciate players getting rave reviews for fokol when those that actually did all the work get fokol...simple. That's hype. Not a review.

You are like a Trump supporter - it was fun to start out with, but no you have to maintain that facade and it is getting tiresome. I genuinely feel for you

Who is the number 7 you’re comparing him to (Hooper or LSL) and how’d their match up go at Ellis Park?

Both....

Did you know that LSL took 7 lineout balls this RC....you would have thought that a retreaded lock would be able to at least get 1.

I would keep quiet about PSDT if hyped fools weren't making such bold claims about him for no reason.

You were going on about his lack of workrate and missed tackles. Now it's his lack of lineout takes (despite being used as a lifter by Rassie)......? :?

If I didn't know better, I'd think you were talking about Jan Du Toit instead.

You don’t understand the game well enough to form an opinion without leaning on meaningless stats.

Do you understand how lineouts work? You know they don’t just throw the ball in and the best player wins it right?

I'm not sure why you lot still put so much effort into what he says or thinks about rugby. He's already said that he played a year of rugby in the 3rd team in high school. He is an expert now...on misusing stats.

Overall, very happy with the direction Rassie is going. There are very few positions we can argue about these days, at least those of us without an agenda anyway. I think it was Blake who said shortly after the game, "wow, we made hard work of that" - well, given our recent form there, if beating ARG by 40 IN Argentina is "making hard work of it" then I'll take that kind of hard work any day.

Just a reminder that 1 minute before halftime the score was 13-17 and we had just conceded a yellow card. I found the first half very frustrating. We had parity in lineouts and absolutely dominated the scrums, but we couldn’t really convert this advantage into tries.

Happy we kept the scoreboard ticking with penalties (good game management) but we were wasting our possession with terribly executed tactical kicks, and inept back line attacking play.

That is what I was getting at. Happy with the result, but there is still a lot to improve upon, particularly at 12, 13 and 15. I also hope Faf has gotten this bad performance out of his system. When he plays like that I’d much rather have Reinach, Jantjies or even Kolbe at 9. He is too crucial to our efforts to have a bad day at the office.

Agree with all that.

And yes 12/13/15 are big issues in the backline. And 9 when Faf plays like that.

Less concerned with 15 because we have options. 12/13 we have no time and Rassie doesn't seem to want Frans there and hasn't included Serfontein

Can we really have a misfiring lineout in a WC playoff game.
Marx is in real danger of messing up his chances post pool stage

Perhaps Rassie should contract The Vanilla Gorilla to teach Marx how to throw.

In the WC top teams will rely heavy on the bench. It can make the difference between winning and losing. Our bench at the moment is potent. The best it have been for ages.

Yes. Except he wasn't a quota when eggman was calling him one either.
