Really looking forward to this match. The big questions for me is who will replace S. Barrett in the second row (Tuipulotu looks likely) and will they give Cavea another go? If Tuipulotu gets the call, someone needs to take him aside and give him a bit of a rocket. IMO he's too bloody soft. This week, he needs to shift some facking bodies and cover the acres.

SBW is set for a recall in place of the injured Goodhue.

I think Beau'ounga should continue but B Smith / R Ioane performed poorly and one of them may be sacrificed for Mr Reece. My Jafa senses reckon B Smith is the sacrificial lamb.

Big goal for this week is no red cards.

Wallabies are genuinely up for breaking the Eden Park hoodoo this year. Some seasoned AB veterans were made to look second-rate last week and only so much of that can be explained by the red card.

Hopefully Cheika won't do a repeat of 2015 and tinker with the side...

Keep the starting XV, and maybe bring in Pocock or Samu onto the bench for Jones.

Yeah, got to feel we are going to get smashed this time.

If not, I will start believing we are a chance in Japan.

Forecast for rain/showers on Saturday which might make it interesting. Despite what a rabble we’re currently looking, I reckon they’ll be a good chance of turning this around.

I know it’s Eden Park but Wallabies insane odds at Oz TAB, $5 even head to head. Gonna find it hard to resist my first insurance flutter in about 20 years, last time was winning 2g blood money on Eales’ penalty in 2000.

A plucky 8 point loss will do me.

Thank God Jaco is reffing. Good news for both sides to have a guy with a real feel for the game controlling a big test.

Of course the space cadet Jonker is still TMO but hopefully he won't get too involved. :uhoh:

Yep. A 12 and under loss will be enough to convince me we are a lock for the semis in Japan. ;)

Enough of the false modesty. You know the staff at ARU headquarters will be putting down their employment law 101 study notes and dusting a preparatory Bledisloe Cup sized patch of space in the trophy cabinet this week.

Here’s hoping for a great game either way. The ABs need to get their tactics right and the forwards need to step up and the Wallabies need to do the same again and not get overawed by what a win would mean.

Crikey some heavy duty pessimism from the Wallaby contingent, you know the current AB are shite, right?

I’ll make up my own mind on who the underdogs are thanks very much. AB team won’t be any stronger than the one fielded last Saturday. The Wallabies on the otherhand could bring Pocock on, that will only make them stronger.

Yes, but the Wallabies haven't been able to string together two strong performances in a row since 2015.

The Wallabies dealt to us good and proper, and the red card cannot be held as an excuse, even if it is, because it won't be, in the RWC. If we (presuming we make the semis) lose a semi by being a man down for half the game it will be no consolation.

It's no different to drink driving really, or speeding, the law is the law, and no matter who else gets away with what else, when you're done, you're done.

The odd high one may be accidental, but most are around the breakdown, and the second man 'blowing the opposition away.' Not off the ball, away! The chances of success are so minimal. Stay out, stay up, and stay in the game, and legal! Surely it's not rocket science?

Aussie just spanked us. And we haven't look good at all this year. So why are Aussie fans expecting a loss?

Within 8 would be good.

I don't know what I'd do if we won the bled back. I'd only just started drinking last time we held it.

If we start the same 23 (with Poey/Samu on the bench), We'll have a punchers chance.

I think its a reasonable excuse. We had all the ball and were making all the play, but you guys had the lead at one point and there was nothing in it at half time. Before the red, I was pretty confident we would lose. After the red, you guys didn't have the gas, in a game of that speed, to cover an extra man.

This is about the only chance left to present what they've been talking about what they're building to, or into. There is very little confidence in the makeup of the side outside an unwritten XV everyone keeps in their heads, and everyone think's differently in about 5 positions. We don't know what the dual playmaker is supposed to function like, we don't know who our blindside flank is, we don't know what our midfield is supposed to be, we don't know if our forwards are up to it - The whole gig is a shambles - Either by design, or injury, or weakness, or a discombobulated mash of everything including the planets alignments.

The whole show is a confetti throw.

It's either going to be an angry beast that clicks and smashes the Wobblies back down to their natural rung on the rugby ladder, or a colossal fuckup of the same unco craziness exposing our worst fears.
Should be a good watch either way!

We should not need additional motivation to raise our game as we approach the WC but if we can't do it facing the fear of losing the BC, then we have no chance in Tokyo.

I'd be interested to know what the ABs win rate is with lurch vs without.

He'd be my first pick in a World XV. In fact, I can't think of another player so securely the best of their position. Furlong maybe.

I say we go Dublin ‘16 on them. Get medieval on that arse. While Scott didn’t get away with it, no one's going to go for multiple cards against us on Eden Park.

We are lacking in brawn and perhaps even brains. It’s time to go bokke

I don't think even this next game will have much of a bearing on the RWC.

Don't forget in 2003 we spanked Australia 50-21 in their backyard, only to lose 10-22 to the same opponent in the RWC semi a few months later.

the ONE game where its ok to start SBW at 12 and keep under performing Reiko on the left wing as its their home game... that said, ALB at 13, Sevu at 14, BB back to 10, Bender to FB, Mo to 22, Ennor at 23 ..hope to see ennor come in early..

Since Retallick was first capped the ABs have a success rate of 77.3% without him. That would make them the most successful team in the world since 2012.

... but with him they have a 92.2% record. Blimey
