"Just hold still......." <beeeeeep>......

.... is it just me or or those words followed by a beep enough to make the part of your body that's supposed to 'hold still' start to spasm?
Twice in the past week I've had to get X-rays of my mouth and each time, sitting there statue still quite comfortably for what seems like minutes, while the machine is put in place, next I hear those words. "Right, I got this", I think and still feel pretty good and then.... the beep! My cheek starts to twitch, my jaw tightens and I feel my head want to really, really shake.
