Former Republic of Ireland, Celtic, Man United, Leeds, Sunderland, QPR, Hibernian, Perth Glory, Brisbane Roar, Cork City and Wilmington Hammerheads star Liam Miller has died aged just 36. He had to quit his career short in 2017 due to falling ill with pancreatic cancer.

When he joined Man United from Celtic is his early 20’s he was touted as the new Roy Keane. His career didn’t follow that of Keane’s but he had an eventful one before finishing up in America late last year due to illness. Sad one.

I remember hearing about his diagnosis. Pancreatic cancer is practically impossible to survive sadly. I buried a good friend 4 years ago from the same cancer.

Condolences to his loved ones and friends.

36, is terribly young.

Horrible. Brian Lenihan died from it too.

The problem is that the disease has usually spread to other organs by the time it’s diagnosed. Early detection can be treated successfully ( l actually know 2 survivors) but that rarely happens because it’s usually symptomless in early stages. Five years survival rates are about 5%. It’s a truly horrific disease and this case is particularly sad given the age of the poor man :(( .

RIP Liam

RIP Liam, should have stayed at least another year or two at Celtic to develop. His performances in the champions league had us all believing we had the new Roy Keane

Such a shame, way too young. Always held a candle for him, thought he had the ability.
