Just pointing out an example of Kearney taking the ball poorly into contact in our most recent competitive game. It's pretty relevant to the argument.

Whether you drop him or not a separate discussion. I think he's set in stone until the RWC next year and then he'll be pushed aside for a new guy to take over the mantle.

No, the argument was about whether he turned the ball over a lot. He's on 12 for the season. For comparison,Zebo is 22, Conway is 25, Larmour is 15 and TOH is 15.

Tbh I'll be disappointed if he's lining out at fullback in the RWC but if we could at least be honest about what he's bad at that would be great.

One of the massive benefits of Kearney being 100% predictable with running the ball back is that our forwards can pick the biggest opposition player and get there early, knowing that the ensuing ruck will be on the right place.

TOH's played alot more than him this season too, although whatever slim chance he had of being involved in the 6 nations is gone now as he did his hamstring at the weekend.

His international career is not looking good with guys like Barry Daly being called in ahead of him.

If so and he didn't, could they have used that against Jackson and Olding?

Maybe a_j could confirm or deny but how would something happening over two years after the fact be used as evidence against them? Wouldn't make sense to me.

Not going to touch anything about Best being at the trial with a bargepole. I've no idea what the motivations are or were, it was very poorly handled by all.

It'd be of no bearing in a trial though. Character evidence only comes into play with regards to sentencing.

So the character evidence only matters if the lads are found guilty?

There is no stain on their character if they are found innocent.

Lenny and co must hate Conway and Zebo.

The last winger I liked was Ian Dowling.

Even though he was a bit flash to be entirely my cup of tea.

You must have loved Justin bishop.

1/2p, Felatau and Biggar all should be available for the game against us. Makes things a little harder.

Quote:
It is understood Jamie Heaslip is on course to resume his rugby career in approximately six weeks’ time.

The No 8 has been loosely pencilled in for Leinster’s PRO14 League match against the Ospreys on the weekend of March 24.

In truth, the 34-year-old will have to hit more markers between now and then on his road back to full match fitness.

Heaslip’s career has been in limbo since a second operation was required on his lower back at the end of October in what was a make-or-break move.

Understandably, he has been sparse with information about what he considers a private medical matter.

However, he has been able to take the baby steps from the operation to holding a genuine shot at a comeback, just over a year after he last played for Ireland, 14 months from his last appearance for Leinster.

Should the Naas native return on schedule he could be available for Leinster's Champions Cup quarter-final clash with Saracens on April 1.

Ulster need to sort the breakdown out, lineout was exceptional last week I thought, but as per usual the breakdown was a major weakness. Warwick, Treadwell and Herbst are disappointing there.

Warwick and Herbst aren't just disappointing at the breakdown. Herbst has went backwards since his first season. Hasn't been able to adapt his scrummaging after being worked out, refuses to keep a scrum up at the slightest hint of pressure and offers nothing else.

Be awesome if Heaslip came back. Tbh from this point on I'd see him as a squad player for Leinster until he clearly showed otherwise but would be so good to have him available again.

He'll be the aging rock star, struggling through one last tour as his looks fade and his body falls apart after years of abuse.
