if you're a sh1t lawyer......its documented that he sat with head of said bank and told them his position regarding shareholding of company and they had to come up with a plan how not to lose everything when share price plummeted and CFD's were called in - backed up by land deals for land that didn't exist ; just because the plan didnt work doesnt mean a crime wasnt committed.

How dare you!

Everybody knows that Sean Quinn went from 1 sand pit with a single 2nd hand lorry to a fleet of brand new trucks and a competitor plant to CRH through Fermanagh cuteness and the power of the Hail Mary. There was no dodgy money involved at all; there's a gentleman in a balaclava outside who can explain in more detail.

The best aspect of that whole sick affair was using the balance sheets and cash flow of a few Dublin boozers to finance the Tier 1 capital of an insurance company....... Take a long bow Mr Patrick 'Retard' Neary......

The only good thing of the entire affair is that Ra/Disso money is gone that would have been available to finance serious trouble.

Quinn says his family being wrongly blamed for abduction and 'barbaric' attack

https://www.independent.ie/irish-news/q ... 13873.html

Let's just play devils advocate for a minute and ponder upon anybody else who might have a motive to beat the living shit out of former Quinn directors.
Anyone?
Anyone at all?

They arent former directors, they are new directors installed to run the company i.e nothing to do with Quinn or his former empire

I see, thought the whole reason these new directors were being targeted was because they were new directors brought in to run his company. Odd they didnt mention that on the news

Quinn has allegedly personally intimidated a receiver I know in respect of a business that wasn't supposed to have anything to do with him.

Mullet, you should have a look at page 11 of todays Irish Times. The Netherlands drug economy is worth 20bn a year.

Seen it alright.

A judge/Lawyer murdered in broad daylight in front of his wife for looking into Criminal Gangs.

Good thing they've all the bikes.

Satellite image of the second runway taken at the end of August. At that rate of going civils works should be finished by this time next year.

Image

Mullet, regarding Chinese flights Cathay Pacific flights have been withdrawn from lots of euro countries due to HKs particular problems at the moment. They are scheduled to restart next spring.

The Hainan (and any other Chinese) flights are reportedly waiting until the opening of the new runway in 2021 when they will have the runway length to take off full and go non-stop to China. This is a consequence of the Shannon lobby curtailing the Dublin runway length at the end of the 80s so that it would be shorter than Shannon.

Existing runway 2,640m long
New runway 3,110m long

EDIT El AL announced direct Dublin - Tel Aviv flights starting next year.

You may well be correct.

But I will note that the aircraft used by Hainan was the Boeing 787 Dreamliner which technically requires a runway length of 2530m to take off fully laden in a perfect world in perfect weather.

The current Dublin runway length is 2640m, so may have been a bit iffy in certain wind/weather conditions.

Whatever happened to their money, given who they are, if money suddenly reappears they'd have an awful lot of questions to ask.

Do you think the creditors of the Quinns wouldn't go straight back into court if they showed any cash?

The Porterhouse Whitworth has changed ownership a couple of times in the not too recent past. Wouldn't have thought the location was bad for a pub.

I live near that place, they put a lot of money into it fairly recently, in the last 3 or 4 years I think. Not sure it ever worked out. The Bald Eagle just over the canal has been very popular.

Didn’t change ownership exactly. It was franchised out and when the license expired it reverted to the parent company as a more upmarket restaurant type place with no late license. Or so the staff said(none of them lost their jobs). The runout was it lost it’s late license because of doormen....competing with the bar shall we say. They did lose their jobs. It was really busy up to that. It reverted back to what it was about a year ago.

Anyway the place is now called Racket with a shitty lick of paint and a much smaller menu. It’s otherwise the exact same interior.
