I went to a lecture by Stelfox and Nugent after they got back from Everest. He's a nice chap. I think he climbed from the North side in Tibet but it was a long time ago and I was only a kid so can't remember for sure. If he did, he would have certainly have used the Chinese ladder on the second step...
