Re: OFFICIAL EU/UK referendum thread

I watched Question Time on Thursday night and i was pleased to see that an audience member repeated the first sensible request that i myself have had since this slanging fest began: I don't want a biased, scare-mongering, vilified diatribe from either those who wish to stay in or those who want to q...

I thought the Italy France games was very thrilling. To be honest i hoped Italy would win but as in previous years they fluffed their lines at the end. The new French winger certainly looks like a breath of fresh air but in general it was squeaky bum time for Les Blues again. One question - the age ...

Welcome back, no internet where you were ? I guess nobody is complaining about him being the new captain beside Torque ( he prefers Parra) and Xupi ( the name Guirado doesn't sound French ). Personally I think a captain should stay the 80' on the field and this doesn't happen often with hookers, bu...

Is he the right man for the job?

I apologise if this has been discussed at length previously.

Ah! nothing more to be said. Sad really. Dulin is injured to a South african journeyman is the next alternative.

So spedding is a bit like Mike Catt.

Ok i suppose but he is obviously not good enough to be considered for South Africa.

I should think that among all the self-absorption over what happened to KP personally, there is probably a fair amount of truth. However, the sensationalist lambasting of Flower, Prior etc. will be what people remember. I cried reading the description of Prior as 'The big cheese'! Have to say i alwa...

A rather excellent article in the Guardian this morning entitled:

'How the media shafted the people of Scotland'.

The UK in a nutshell! If only the decision tomorrow, whichever side of the vote you are on, was that of the people involved.

Fat chance.

Sad to say i have more or less given up the ghost with Toulouse now. The years of mediocrity are beginning to blur. Having followed them avidly over the last 7 years or so, in my humble opinion, the play from 9-15 has for much of the time, been the main reason why their status and reputation has now...

Watched the Toulouse game on Sky - back to the bad old ways of last season. Lots of penalties, some poor decisions and some out of touch players: Clerc, Dusatoir and sad to say (or predictably) Medard was back to the lows of the previous seasons. His contract is up for renewal at the end of this sea...

Re: P45 time for Novés?

The assessment of his season is one good game when he broke the line twice. The rest was just awful for a player of that class. A ghost in defense and a below-average player. Didn't deserve his salary. He won't be missed really. I agree with you. And I'd throw Medard in as equally culpable. So, in ...

Re: P45 time for Novés?

I agree that whilst signing Flood would appear to be moving in a new direction, the tactics, malaise and general motivation of this current team does not mean that Flood will have a great impact on proceedings. Who ever Toulouse have signed recently, they have not changed the general regression of a...

Re: Munster v Toulouse official- the real clash of champions

Some serious soul searching for some. On this performance, and to be fair the last 18 months, Medard should seriously question what he is doing. Don't think there will be any let-off from Noves this time. His days must be numbered. He is afraid, when you watch him, he is definitely afraid, maybe his...

A question: Do the teams have to be announced 24 hours before kick off? I have just read that Julien Malzieu is injured and unable to play in the Heineken Cup at the weekend. So sad that his career has been ravaged by injury in the last couple of years.

Same physical presence as Huget but i found him a more intelligent player.

ST will be happy with that. Except the loss of Johntson. Tough game. I am seriously underwhelmed by Clerc/Gear. Good return for Fritz. Clerc is finished. No more than a good club pro now. Gear, I fear, is just trying to play out his contract without getting injured. A few weeks ago there were cries...

Re: France post mortem

Doubtless. A few years back I was told he had mental problems. And my old friend Clouseau took issue with it. So, since I'll take Clouseau's word for it ( there is no mental problem), then Medard gets no quarter: it must be because he is a lazy ***k. Ok fine, but the incident 5 years ago (where he ...
