Re: The best new and returning TV series of 2024?
Also, should we really use Mary Sue for male characters? Maybe a Luke Skywalker or an Anakin Skywalker would work better? ;) (We need a fishing smilie). Man, The Americans drags on. Only at series 3 but it’s become repetitive and depressing. Does it pick itself up? Nope . It’s pretty rubbish actual...

Hugh Bladen. Not so much in his later years when he became quite clumsy though. But he was the enigmatic voice of South African rugby for many years. Bladen, for sure. Legendary. THE Voice of SA Rugby. Grant Nisbitt for NZ. He’s horrific. Yes he is. I rather meant he is the voice of nz Rugby

Absolutely, quite surprised how vital he seemed to be. He really is a big loss.
I am also quite surprised how little Nienaber features. Felix and Rassie are all over the place

I remember that, that they only announced shortly prior to the fixture. Jacques also mentiones, that the constant changing of the squad also makes them less predicable and harder to analyze, which is exactly what they intend by that

Re: World Rugby to curtail Bok's Bomb Squad
I think you over estimate NZ's ability to influence World Rugby. If they had it their way, pitches would be as wide as they are long... Sure sure, like World Rugby is going to ignore the "spiritual guardians". The reality is, you guys always get your way in the end. Be it law changes to suit your s...

Keep pulling that thread...you'll get there ;) World Rugby is pro NZ and Australia? Not pro NZ and Australia per se, it's just historically where the petitions for law changes and other reforms have come from after a failed World Cup campaigns. Apparently, if the All Blacks can't win a RWC, the law...

Tough one, I went for Wales, had me worried the most
Physically: Wales 2019 - bogey team, no gameplan other that "f*ck em up physically"
Emotionally: France 2023 - host nation, 1 week of La Marseillaise during training
Mentally: England 2023 - the qf win the week before drained them mentally

Anyone started Sugar with Colin Farrell yet? Supposed to be really good - 'hard-boiled gumshoe in modern day LA but with a 50s aesthetic'. Sounds right to my street (LA Confidential is perhaps my favorite film). Wasnt aware of it, sounds promising, cheers. Love colin farrell and likewise re LA Conf...

I didnt think that unforgiven was that good. Though it has an 8.3 on imdb. I watched it maybe 3 years ago and could hardly remember anything. Not sure why coaches continue to take such a huge risk by opting for a 6-2 bench split? It cost the Blues the match yesterday, they had a halfback playing on the wing for three quarters of the game. I know the Springboks won the last RWC with a 6-2 split, but I don't actually think it in itself was...

I honestly think this was peak rugby. Both teams at their absolute peak, packed with talent. That was probably the best Bok team to ever play, in my opinion. Better than 07, 19 or 23 WC teams. Agree too, 2009 was the best bok team ever. That is, PdV almost fcuked it with his nepotistic selections o...

Willie Le Roux Saffers seem to love him but he was a gobby twat and total fanny at Wasps, phoning it in and being Pudsey’s best boy by not getting his kit messy. 1st season aside, he was superb for Wasps. Formed a fantastic double act with Cipriani. He’s also far from universally loved in SA. Rathe...

Seen the preview, feel for the players but that little cünt eddie making a prize prick of himself? Solid gold. In the end it will be a mockumentary about him.
