Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

The Leinster ARE producing players for you ungrateful plebs line being trotted out I see. Hmmmm. We're giving a home to your castoffs by and large, so of course you're fine with perpetuating that system. It reinforces the gap. A draft. If there's to be anything other than a pretence at real competi...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Munster don't have any problems selling tickets for exhibition matches involving 2nd/3rd choice players (must be really shit players according to this thread). Ulster have a set of outside backs they have continually misused for years. But they've actually started developing more than a couple of g...

Re: Heineken cup quarter final - Leinster vs La Rochelle

I went through it again, Leinster conceded 7 penalties in the last ~15 mins, La Rochelle (I think) conceded 0 penalties in the last 15. Were 4 of those were in the scrum? Either way we've never gotten the better of the penalty count against LaR and that remains the case. Having watched most of it b...

Think you're a bit blase about danger, have you scrummaged in the adult game? I'm not dismissing the danger. I'm just curious why you think Milne in particular would be any more at risk than any other 25 year old prop with decent enough experience? What I have seen so far of him scrummaging in the ...

I was at a seminar a number of months ago in RCSI where this guy made the case that if every year there isn't a new record big health budget, then we're up shit creek. Re: Heineken cup quarter final - Leinster vs La Rochelle

The guy is not so inexperienced that he was in physical danger. Just seemed to me that the LAR TH was refusing to engage properly and tricked Milne into a picture where it looked like he was collapsing the scrum. Certainly for one of the ones I looked at closely. A tight game and I think the ref mi...

Re: Heineken cup quarter final - Leinster vs La Rochelle

Milne has to be tested and he'll have learned plenty. To my very untrained eye, he wasn't being helped by the officials in setting. He was being penalised for taking down scrums that hadn't even properly engaged. To my very trained eye it could have been dangerous for him, not suggesting I played a...

I am not going to go and check but I feel Leinster gave away 4 or 5 penalties in the last few mins when the game was long and truly dead. There was definitely some ledger-balancing and favoring of the losing side in the final 10-15. There were a couple calls in the first half when the game was stil...

Boogate would be the perfect epilogue to this saga. The media and pundits, having blown so much smoke up ROG's arse will now have to objectively ask the question: "is he a dickhead?" Exactly. When he was winning he could get away with it. After a hammering he just looks like a dick. Munster started...
