Him getting a practice squad slot was always a certainty here. Teams get an extra slot for an IPP player which costs peanuts for them.
Making an actual roster is the challenge and where he'll really prove people wrong.
Good luck to him

They don't really sell though. They just shed players at the end of contract or even mid contract recently. There's no windfall from it as there's not a transfer market to speak of in pro rugby. For what it's worth Castle Park is a great place to watch a game. Not sure what the details of their MSC bid was, but there's a lot of room there to expand (albeit no idea on the planning situation)

Not a great look from whoever the TMO was. I like the drop outs. If you get held up, you've messed it up and you also prevent the 5 minutes of scrum resets that often followed.
Don't have the stats clearly DOB, but genuinely think it forced teams like Exeter (who were Pick and Go RFC) into a rethink.

Did he really look the real deal though?
He seemed handy enough, but I think his stock rose dramatically as a result of his unavailability after and how desperate we are for every 12 to be the one.

The ex-London Irish fellow at Gloucester - Englefield - looks a decent prospect lower down the age list. Doesn't dither, with a snappy service and lovely pass. He’s been fantastic so far and a big reason behind our (slight) upturn in form. Has a mammoth boot on him and is really sharp in pretty muc...

Story is that he's had 3 offers but I haven't heard who from. He's a free shake for teams at this stage unless they feel there's a better candidate on the programme. Unless someone can explain it better, that Fissler story made no sense. 3 practice squad offers is perfectly realistic, but the money...

Also, players from previous eras talking about international football being a duty and akin to being called up to fight in a war is really weird. Is that what they said? That is weird... you'd be excited about one... and dreading the other I would have thought? An honour, rather than a duty... Stuf...

Never reached his legs though... was bumped off by the ball carrying arm... Not seen the reverse angle, but does it even matter what he hit? He's gone shoulder first to stop the player behind the gainline and brought that player down. Without ever getting a wrap. It would have been a normal wrap if...

Really not controversial for me. Saw it in real time and gritted my teeth waiting for the arm to come out. Do a few of those get missed a game? Sure. Is it an illegal tackle? yes. It was a tired attempt he got wrong. Always a risk with those low tackles that the ball carrier's leg gets there before...
