Loyalty ended up being Schmidt’s downfall and if Farrell doesn’t start picking our form players it will be Farrell’s too.
If he keeps picking the “experienced” players and loses he’s going to be out of a job. If he picks a new generation the fans and media will give him time.

Porter is a weak TH scrummager. Shouldn’t be an issue in this match though. He's hardly a weakness, though. Just the weakest of the the guys or there, the other two of whom are excellent scrummagers. I would fear for him starting against a strong scrummaging team if we make it past this weekend. Co...

So do people think Conway has jumped ahead of earls in the pecking order? I’m assuming Kearney and stockdale as the other two starters in back 3.
Conway has been in great form imo and deserves to be picked ahead of earls.

Everyone needs to chill the duck out. The lads were varying shades of pink and red after 20 mins. Before they were gassed they were playing well and in a good lead. We’ll beat New Zealand. Playing japan in that humidity off a 6 day turnaround is a perfect storm for this Irish team. Healy and furlong were gassed after 20 mins (and that was before japan even got going).

Ireland to make it to the final now. We’re in the easier side of the draw.

Irish players are wrecked walking off the pitch. Japan sprint off. I think they’ll finish us off. The humidity is a huge factor. Genius call. This isn’t the end for Ireland, not by a long shot. Soccer IS big in India and China. What are you talking about? Soccer has more than 10 teams that can make a qf. Soccer has the equivalent of Japan beating southafrica multiple times per tournament. He’s not wrong to say the pool stages are predictable. 9 maybe 10 teams have a shot at making the quarters.
