Speed of ruck ball isn’t a job solely for the forwards. It’s a 1-15 attitude. French teams have huge success in slowing down Irish teams because everyone from loose head to fullback attacks the ruck.

How recently have the rest of the NZ camp had Covid? Is it ripping through the squad as we speak? Vaccines and prior infections isn’t much of a barrier anymore from at least testing positive and feeling crummy for a couple of days.

It’s a league match, not a cup final. You can’t have the intensity of a final every week or you’ll burn out by October.
Chatting with your opponents after a match is irrelevant and says nothing about how you approached the match.

I’d prefer if the “best tighthead in the world” would sort out his scrummaging. Weak link on the Irish (and Leinster) team. Not necessarily something NZ will expose, but England, France, and SA will continue to destroy him.

I don’t understand how any so called fan of leinstertainment would put holwell ahead of spooner. Holwell was a kidney guy brought into be a steady reliable 10 - which he did very well.

We’ll beat New Zealand. Playing japan in that humidity off a 6 day turnaround is a perfect storm for this Irish team. Healy and furlong were gassed after 20 mins (and that was before japan even got going).

Ireland to make it to the final now. We’re in the easier side of the draw.
