Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
He was some chancer hid behind the old “my dad is from Munster” line. Flounced off the board once Munster stopped winning of course To be fair, my young fella was born in Dublin and while I'll happily see him avail of the school system up here, if he's good enough it'll be a Munster academy contrac...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
One of my fondest memories of 09 was bumping into a friend on the way to the match and he was proudly wearing his Munster jersey (Clongowes lad, born and bred in Dublin. Statto knows who I'm talking about) and he was all full of it about how My syer were going to win and was I ready for a thorough ...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Remember then Munster lads streaming out with 10 mins to go. To the brave and faithful, beating the traffic is possible There were lads leaving alright, and plenty of us giving them an earful for it too. But I was in the south terrace of old Lansdowne in 2006, and there wasn't a blue jersey left in...

I was upper Hogan stand on 22. After black Sunday, it was one of the most satisfying wins. Munster have never really recovered from it. One Magners league and one URC but not what they were like during the noughties Remember then Munster lads streaming out with 10 mins to go. To the brave and faith...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
He’s pish. Absolute comedy gold considering the unholy pissy fitting of the preceding few pages! When Munster signed an Ulster graduate they got an Irish international centre in Chris Farrell. We got Jake Flannery. Considering many of your best players come from Leinster, then I wouldn’t be p...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Funny sort of a game. Ulster should've won the first half by another 10 points, but then Stormers should've won the second by even more too.
Sheridan, Timoney, McCann, Doak and McCloskey were all good for Ulster.

Ulster should look to get the ball into Sheridans hands more. A lot of ball going through Treadwell and he's getting smashed every time.
Some shocking place kicking on display so far.

I like Deegan, always have. But Munster have Ahern/Beirne, POM, Quinn, Coombes, Gleeson, O'Sullivan, O'Donoghue and Okeke for 6 and 8. He's not needed down here.
He'd be a truly excellent signing for Ulster. For being so sound about it, Ulster can send us down Scott Wilson instead.

Re: URC 2023/24 General match thread
Good weekend for Stormers and Munster, with Ulster, Connacht, Edinburgh and Benetton all dropping points. If Cardiff could've held on against Glasgow it would've been a perfect weekend. Ditto Lions. They played themselves back into the play offs. Sharks also jumped from the bottom. If they keep it ...

I don't necessarily think it's a freshness of coaching issue, or even other sides figuring us out. The pack just didn't provide the go forward we're used to from them, to be honest in any of the games after France. Definitely a bit of world cup hangover and tiredness there. That coupled with us losi...

McCarthy is probably our best forward on the pitch You can't be serious? The biggest impacts he's had have been penalties conceded. Van der Flier has been the best of the pack, followed by Sheehan and then Furlong. The rest have all been awful. You don’t understand what a lock is supposed to do so ...
