Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
The Dung should’ve locked down a 23 spot after last night. He’s the form 13 in Australia (Lenny is clearly first picked - pure class and test match record) and can play wing and 15 at a pinch. When he played a few games with the Reds at 13 I thought, shite he looks good there. He's looked even bett...

Re: Law changes - Scrums from Free kicks goooone
And do you think it works? Well before the Dupont loophole was even a glint in his parents' eyes. Close that, and yes, it mainly works. If it is shown to work. Why not extend the mark to all areas of the pitch, like in the olden days? Why not bring back two-three-two + wing forward scrum formations...

The law is quite clear Towny below 16, when this grooming started, is a child and therefore unable to consent Correct. That’s what the law says. But I’m asking about the term ‘pedophile’, which is getting thrown around, incorrectly imo. Shirley one can support the law and the correct use of words. ...

There's ethnic cleansing ongoing in Darfur. Will there be any protests about that i wonder? All while trying to justify it and accusing anyone not supporting it of bei...

This result makes me so very happy. To see the Crusaders he-fucked from one orifice to another, and left lying on the Forsyth Barr Stadium turf post-match like a well-used, dead prostitute on the banks of the Avon gets me so hard I could cut diamonds for Chris Cairns, I mean Player X, with my erect...

Even "more entertaining" is a hard comparison to make directly. Eye of the beholder and all that. I enjoy Clarkson, the subject matter, his obvious enjoyment and enthusiasm for it which shines through in his communication of same to the audience. Ditto for Attenborough. Used television to inform an...

I missed Leonard Cohen in Auckland. Up for a mate’s stag do on the same night. But he got trollied early and when it looked likely that he’d be sent home, I mentioned to a mate I might sneak off as some tix were still available. He guilt tripped me that I couldn’t possibly leave a stag do. Within a...

Re: Highlanders vs Crusaders Match Thread
Those aren't options. Those are all penalties. How about the ref plays to the rules? None of those things are penalties. Into touch would be a defending lineout, and over the line would be a dropout. They chose badly and conceded a try. Once it's called tackle all players must release. If you keep ...

The ref called tackle, the players were static, and then when the Highlanders started to release the ref allowed the Crusaders prop to join the players as if it was a maul and drive them 2m so the Crusaders player could go over the line. All sides must release the tackled player once tackle is call...

That's harsh Gus No. It's fúcken ridiculous. A n gus didn't find a penalty there so there were three options under the laws, depending on what actually was happening. Good post Thanks. The Russians had a taste of democracy in the 90s and it was a disastrous time for the people. Putin restored order and the economy. Re: Blues v Hurricanes @ Eden Park - Saturday 11 May
Brilliant game, don’t understand the tap and go over a scrum at the end though, 8 off the base always in front of the 5 line. Taps always seem behind. Risk aversion seems the likely reason. It's easier to stuff up a scrum / get penalised for a bullshit reason than stuff up a tap in the first phase.

Re: Highlanders vs Crusaders Match Thread
The ridiculous rules of rugby are making it almost unwatchable at times. The defending players are holding a player up who is on his feet just meters from the line, they're told "It's a tackle, release!" They release him and he flops over for a try. An absolutely pathetic spectacle! I've had a guts...

I like scrums too, and agree with the posters saying that fewer scrums is not indicative necessarily of a better game.
