Re: Wallabies 2020 thread

Didn’t watch Rennie at Glasgow. Chiefs - from memory was 10-15 but I’d need to see what he was doing with Maori Jesus then. I think the main thing is to have two play makers - MT and JOC are the obvious - with iterations of 10-12 subbing in the good young 10s. In my view if it is JOC and MT then Tat...

Re: Wallabies 2020 thread

Aussie supporters - standard international approach seems to be ‘dual pivots’. Kurtley filled this roll as 2nd option for a time (and occassionally played 10).

This squad you have JOC and MT - what is the next most likely option? Is there a 10-15 option or is it all about 10-12?

I like the Reds - nice team to watch and attacking approach.
But before seeing the teams i'm thinking Brums to win (home advantage, and more experience in finals)

As in need to approval to leave Aus, and two weeks quarantine in NZ, and two weeks back into Aus. Can't see many travelling fans.

Good news ... sense reigns and games are on

Appears locked in ... and close enough to happen.

Now the TRC planning can occur.

Re: NZ Rugby finally realises - It’s Hammer Time

In my view it's quite ridiculous that two countries with such incredibly low COVID rates, going into a long hot summer (which will likely curb them even further) are even still in lockdown, let alone locked down so hard that it's a factor in hosting an International rugby competition. I'm not sugge...

looking at the teams, and their form, in my view Rebels chance of winning is based on a super strong kicking, kick chase game, and stealing some lineout ball - ideally in the wet against the Reds (play in Reds 22/half, and make them play it out). Big squad - so understandable a few new players.

For me the lottery is the back row - what is the right balance.
Midfield - options, but strong proven options.
Depth in the front five being expanded.
