Re: All Black squad selection thread

Not sure about the ‘not stepped up debate’ / why are they in the squad stuff? Is PPP playing better that fat Pat? Not this year, and so all other things being equal the incumbent is in and they get another chance to step up (not sure how many you get - fat Pat is on 3 or 4, Shanon a little less). I ...

I had BB in and then removed him for DMAC - that’s the one I’m not sure about.
Yes, it’s relevant - I agree- but I think they be in game 2.
For me BB and BBBR will be bench game 2, start game 3.

As at x-blues supporter I’m sure AC has some love still for his first love. ——— Any have any player stats on the game - I’m intrigued to see if Reiko passed a ball. Never really been in the rain at Eden Park. A bit of drizzle here and there but nothing major, The NPC Final in 2018 was rainy though. Half the crowd shifted to the undercover seats, including us. I guess that is an option when it's not a sell out. Anyone heard anything about the size of the crowd?...

I'm a bit surprised however that PPP doesn't rank higher in the national hierarchy of locks. Given Savea is playing at 8 and wants to play at 8 why is he now a 7.

I think it’s between DP and LB for the 7 jersey - LB is better over the ball but I expect the stats would show DP is a better runner/line out option (tackles I guess - without stats - are similar).

Good call on Carter Gordon - def a player to watch.

Is Uru (spelling?) - the Fijian/Aussie lock - back rower available?

At least he’s a good line out option and supports a fast game (if that’s what Aus are playing).

Not sure what strategy Rennie is building but I hope it’s a fast / passing game.

For me they don’t take that many outside backs - so out goes lam and Sullivan, and I think Reece is in (so out goes nareki)

In the forwards my guess the two spaces are added there:
Lock - Pat T
Back row - the ginger bloke from Auck (Tom Robinson?)

Assumes DMAC is 3rd choice 10.
