Re: At what age do you give your kids independence?

My two are 14 and 20. They both walked the 2 1/2 miles from school at 11yo, crossing quite a few roads. We leave the little one at home if we have a night out and we left the older one at home looking after his sister at a similar age. A lot of it is down to the individual child, our two are reasona...

No idea, but it made the bus trip, and the drive back home more joyful. My 12yo was disappointed when our bus arrived and we never saw the end of the drama.
I miss the trips to EP, even if Wasps had a habit of losing there.

Pizzas at the ready. That was one bloody match. More palatable than Bloodgate. I was at that game, going home was interesting. While waiting for the bus back to Baguley, we were entertained by a gloriously drunk inhabitant of Stockport who, when he was refused entrance to his bus, proceeded to go i...

Re: Music that's "changed your life"

It's not easy to pick one album, but over the years I've listened to all lot of bands. Slipknot to Show of Hands, via Genesis and local bands. One constant since the early 80's has been New Model Army.

If I have to name an album it would be Thunder and Consolation.

That's what my Tigers supporting hubby thinks. He was fuming when Dusty Hare went to Saints. He's championed a few young players then seen them move on to get gametime.

My hubby has it, and rates the pain much worse then any injury he suffered in the front row. It's controlled by allopurinol and diet, he takes naproxen if he has an attack.
His triggers are turkey and beer, especially the turkey. So it's capon in our house tomorrow.

Works well fixing torn figure nails.
My dad didn't have stitches after having a pacemaker, just sterile superglue and a dressing.

My eldest child found it very useful for wrecking school trousers when failing to glue things together.

Some very nice stuff being played all round. Think the big difference this year has been the fitness and structure of the AP sides now coming out on top over the sheer size of the French packs.
