Re: Rugby NAMA thread Revisited Rugby
FFFG merger. There is very little of substance to differentiate between both main parties. Both of them appear to sing from the same hymn sheet and have done for the past decade. Both parties have abandoned their hard core support, leaving them closer to one another in reality. What does their hard...

Re: Ban Irish horse race participation in UK because they’re too good
Tax breaks for the breeders aside, the Irish Equine industry does receive other subsidies and subventions from the state in terms of financial support. It's seems to be the view that the Horse Racing industry is worth preserving and growing. (Whether or not this industry should be preserved/supporte...

You can't have someone with a lisp as leader. Not in the current climate. Petty and sad as that sounds. I also don't think he inspires much. Accountants rarely make good leaders! Would be interesting going head to head with Mary Lou in their constituency though! Donohoe isn't an accountant. He had ...

Scotland’s Eddie O’Sullivan. Stabilised and improved a mess but couldn’t make a breakthrough. The Scots real problem is they have no Declan Kidney ready to take over and bring them to the next level EOS and the IRFU fcked over Garland, the first Irish coach in almost forever to beat France and Engl...

Cotter turned Scotland. Townsend was riding in his coattails. Cotter certainly improved Scotland hugely. The point about player numbers though is reasonable. Scottish pool is small. To think Scotland held the hex over us throughout the entire 1990s beating throughout home and away. 90s was a differ...

I'm not convinced by Crowley. Could that last win by Ireland be their swan song? The production line is still ok. May take a few years to integrate the young lads. At least we won't peak mid cycle We were missing our most creative back, Hansen, and Keenan was either unavailable or had to play wing for the last three games. Fran...

Backrow have a lot to prove this week as a unit. As others have agreed with me on the need for pace in the backline, it'll be interesting to see how things develop on that front post 6nations. McCarthy has a tendency to chase the big hits which leaves him tackling air/non-ball-carrying oppo far too often. He can be maddeningly ineffective at times. He's been anonymous today Hopefully the chat at HT straightens him up. Otherwise I'd hook him. Him, in the zone, Id prefer to keep out there....
