An absolutely miserable finals but well done Brad Stevens that is an incredible roster given the constraints.

That was such a stupid try to concede after all the work.

The back 3 for South Africa is a massive concern if Mack doesn’t make it

They just have no respect for Byrne- if he carried any threat to tuck and run it would be a whole other backline.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

I’ve no problem with a year loan, they’re certainly not getting a player of his talent long term. But if there’s provision for a recall in the event the two Byrne bros pull muscles then it’s a bit pointless.

Yes, this was their peak imo. Bonnaroo in ‘06 probably the other contender but that was never realistic. There There to open that Glastonbury is my favourite live performance, have watched that a thousand odd times.

What about 2006 Edit - sorry see you said past 15 years, not sure why you’d chose that as a cut off It's breathless stuff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFuVyB0R2hU The greatest try Leinster have ever scored. Arguably the greatest try ever scored in the Heineken cup. Rugby was better back then, as...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

A +84 point differential is pretty special (next best +6!). With some more distance from the last couple weeks people will appreciate it more. The change we need is young guys supplanting the bench options at loosehead, and half-back, expect that'll define the next 18 months. Beyond that the startin...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Pace is fixed with Hansen and Ringrose coming back, even JOB. It's not fixed though. Those guys are quick, certainly quicker than those out there today, but none of them are a flyer. It would remain an issue against sides who have genuine pace. It would help us be better balanced for sure, but pace...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Not very good at all. That’s it for the 6-2 and probably Frawley. Killer killer mistake from POM. Frawley’s probably still in the picture for 10 cover, but we can’t rely on him to be the back 3 cover, especially if it means Murray at 9. It’s insane to pencil in someone as cover for 4 or 5 positions...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

A defeat. England have a lot of good players also . They are a decent team that will want a crack at the Irish tight 5. Porter needs a good game, don’t need him giving away several penalties again to give England a foothold in the game A 10+?point Irish win would be a great win. Do they though? I t...

Caelan Doris was immense for Ireland yesterday. Simply excellent in all aspects of the game. Top tackler with 21. Carried 12 times. Passed 10 times. Hit 28 attacking rucks. Contested at 12 Welsh breakdowns. Conceded 0 penalties. “Anonymous” according to someone here yesterday We're a month removed ...
