Re: Player of the triumphant 2025 B&I Lions tour to Australia (nominations)

I'd weigh the tests at about 85% so Curry and Beirne lead nominees. It's very hard for a hooker to impact a game like those two have. Russell their most important player by far but not what was asked.

Re: The Offical GAA Thread

They’ve just housed everyone in their path, hard to understand how ill equipped Donegal were to pivot to the 2 point efforts but they were overmatched regardless. Not much left to say about David.

Jim Gavin was great pre game, sport owes him a boatload.

Re: Lions Lions Lions

Farrell would've started 10 Ireland players in the first test which was basically Gatland's 3rd test panic Welsh selection in 2013 except this was Farrell's starting point. Only injury prevented him from doing so. Farrell would've started 11 Ireland players in the second test, plus his own son on t...

Sheehan or Genge. Happy to help. Russell for me. He suffered with Aki outside him yesterday, and we saw a brief return to the panic of bad old Finn at times. Even in the dying phases, he takes the ball and has to check and run down a blind alley because he hadn't looked outside himself before setti...

Mack has 11 turnovers with 37 passes. Freeman 7 turnovers on 11 passes is far more striking.

Re: Lions Lions Lions

I'm confused. Daly was in the squad to cover 15, wing, and 13? Suggestion here is that Jr has come in to cover 12 (where so far there aren't any injuries). Snr is now on record saying that the 10s will welcome Jr's arrival - or at least won't feel threatened? Why should they worry seeing as he can'...

That's definitely possible, and Freeman might be in already too. I'd just hold fire another week on both.

I am very excited by that halfback pairing behind a pack that should be very strong.

There's so much up in the air, especially at centre. No one seems to be hurting themselves. If Keenan shows a pulse I expect him to start with JGP, Russell and Lowe nailed on. Can't go too far wrong with the pack options though I'd be pretty strongly against Beirne at 6. I don't know what the case f...

Chernobyl, Succession, Better Call Saul, True Detective, Le Bureau in a tier of their own with Chernobyl atop that. I consider these all timers. The Bear misses out with season 3.

Too many to mention below that: Top Boy, Mindhunter and Slow Horses stand out of those mentioned.

Yes we could, BP's played a massive role in it.
Not really by the French game. And if you think the result would have been much different with Crowley, I'll have what you're smoking.

We'll never know will we.
But the evidence since has not been in Sam's favour.

What a bad year for Irish rugby. Munster topped the log last season. Down to sixth this. Ulster dropped 8 places to a worst ever finish. Connacht down two as well. Leinster are probably judged more on Champions Cups and having made 3 finals in a row only made the semis. With the national team a dis...

We are watching an all time coaching job. This is a motley crew 3 games from a chip. Even the adjustments to deal with the avalanche of early turnovers on Thursday, Carlisle is so good.

When the bad guys land BCS is right there with Breaking Bad. It’s not so close before that, some of the legalise and tinfoil drags.

The two combined is all time achievement, in any medium.

There's nothing concerning about a 21/22 year old fitting a system. Everything offensively is on schedule, he's a super talent. The defending is apocalyptic and so the question is what he can manage there, he'll get every resource you'd want so ball is in his court. Young players in key positions ar...

It's far from clear statistically which of fouling/not down 3 is the better option but yeah seems pretty clearcut with Jokic sitting.
