Re: All Blacks 2024
Those stats really show what an impressive season Peter Lakai is having. I knew he'd been playing well but wow. I think they really highlight Hoskins Sotutu's form. What's most surprising is Tom Christie in the top five for clean breaks and try assists, that's enough for me to think he's developed ...

I can see where you're coming from just putting up my arguments for against. We can't really judge whether or not Hannah's lineout is up to standard even if is the hooker fault. Anyway I don't think Hannah has the potential upside that guys like Adam Thomson and Shannon Frizell had when they were s...

Re: Is this in the spirit of rugby?
It certainly isn't in the spirit of the game, however how would a postponement impact the club competition, or wouldn't it ? It'd be tough, as the Canterbury Country club comp is split across two sub unions and Mid Canterbury, where they split off into their respective comps at the conclusion. Look...

Re: SRP Rd 9 - Reds v Highlanders
They won the Super Rugby final. What criteria are you using? They were middle of the road team that year and managed to fluke a title run. Canes was the top team the entire season and choked. If they play best out of 3 series they would have lost 100% But, they won. That means they were the top tea...

Re: Brumbies v Waratahs FFS!
Yeah the Brumbies have to stay but what has happened to the Tahs is a travesty. The standard of rugby from the Tahs over the last 5 years has been completely unacceptable. Australian rugby simply cannot afford to have such a weak NSW team. It's mostly a depth issue, most teams have large injury lis...

On the topic of our 10 depth, am I allowed to say I think it sucks a bit that the Clan have spent the past two seasons with overseas 10s clogging up a spot that could potentially be developing young NZ 10s? I don't blame them, I'd probably do the same in their position and they're hardly the first ...

It's almost as if there are other factors that are contributing to these shortcomings that cutting a team didn't and won't solve... go figure? 100%. Has nothing to do with cutting teams etc. All that would do is force more talent overseas and we'd end up with a bunch of Mack Hansons running around ...

Toole deserves a shot. Might be great. Might be Rod Davies Mk. 2. The Wales games seem as good a time as any. Hes worth 5-15 points a game. These aren't mugs he's running around either. His defence seems better this year too. If kellaway and Nawaqanitawase are the other members of the back three, t...

Yep, UncleFB was always confident they had the squad to be a Super quality team, just not the coaching, this confirms it. Thino this is the most competitive start to a season I've ever seen, wouldn't have picked the Canes to be unbeaten.

Stitched up by the draw somewhat as well. Not the easiest of starts. Nothing that will stop you being able to get into the playoffs though. Yeah no home game til R4 is pretty rough. Good chance for Brumbies to win this one away from home, that's a pretty average Highlanders forward pack, considering injuries etc.
Stoked to see Jack Taylor get a start, personally believe he has a higher ceiling than Henry Bell.

Nice to hear. I played Club Rugby with him, so have a soft spot. Reds wouldn’t have won without him imo. Ravai is a beast, when he came on last week he almost won the game single-handedly. Fully deserved win to the Canes. Blues did ok not to drop their bundle with that 6-2 rubbish bench. Peni Ravai, an absolute unit. Built like a bodybuilder, kinda similar physique to Joe Marler. Judging by the few minutes he played, he would bench press Joe Marler.
