Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
Bits of that game were like a strange, slightly aged tribute act to 2003, 2007 and 2019 all at once. The drop goals of 2003, the complete suffocation of the opposition without playing any rugby of 2007, and there were just a couple of moments where Itoje and Lawes smashed people miles behind the gai...

It's almost like an Onion article: "Fans And Commentators Again Mystified By Regulation Being Applied In Same Way It's Been Applied For Three Years." The bewilderment each time is what gets me. Very odd one. Bit of a precedent for captains to insist the ref watches a replay before they play on.

Slightly unrelated, but I am interested in trying to pin the sudden decline in the popularity of a name to an unpopular celebrity or historical figure. The 'Adolf' effect, if you like. For example, I am convinced that the fact that there are about 19 million women over 45 named Sue and about three u...

Just to add, I would also advise against the 'you can't play sport if you don't eat' angle. It's a completely understandable approach to take, but would add further pressure to the issue of food. Thomas, I don't really post much anymore, but all discussion of food groups, types of food etc on this thread is well-intentioned but misguided. Parkes nails Tuilagi in the head. There's an immediate injury delay of four minutes, and yet it isn't looked at once. What is the point of the regulations to protect the head if the TMO can only be arsed half the time? Pretty terrible game. The barely credible stupidity form Wales in the last ten m...

Ball carrier suddenly dropping in height due to earlier tackle is clearly listed...

For all the high shots, no arms tackles and absurd coming in from the side (and the front) to attempt to neuter Curry, the most absurd decision was Itoje getting a hand on the second consecutive Welsh lineout that was about a metre not straight and being pinged for 'jumping across the lineout'.
