Re: POTUS-DONALD TRUMP-and U.S. Politics catch-all

I'm sure Joe, president for all, healer of nations, Biden will be out to condemn the violence on the streets of the capital last night. Of course he would condemn it. I hope so. He's never condemned antifa before. Yes he has - as a simple google search would have informed you. He's condemned an org...

Re: Anthony Joshua

I cant see Pulev troubling Joshua too much. I think he's got solid fundamentals but he's not particularly mobile and I think he'll get caught by a big right eventually.

Wilder can KO any fighter but he's vanished off the face of the earth since February so god knows if that'll even happen.

Re: Anthony Joshua

I'd like to see Whyte fight for a belt after Fury V Joshua. Let those two get their contracted fights out of the way and then have Joshua/Fury 1 in March and a rematch in the summer. After that let Usyk fight for the WBO and Whyte (or whoever) fight for the WBC. These things never pan out as you hop...

Re: Anthony Joshua

I thought Povetkin looked done at the end of the 4th. Leggy, slow telegraphed punches and Whyte looked like he still had another couple of gears. For him to then stop a top 5 ranked HW in the manner he did, aged 41 is freakishly impressive. What happens if Whyte wins the rematch? Do the WBC guarante...

That was a beautiful punch wasn't it. I imagine Fury is delighted. I feel for Whyte. Yeah. He has been stitched up for years waiting for his shot but stayed in the game taking on difficult opponents. There is a thing no-one has mentioned here - an obvious thing, given the broader political context - and I find that silence a bit odd. The gesture of half-kneeling and its name - 'taking a knee' - are both born in the USA. Are folk seriously and in good faith arguing that gestural politics origina...

Predictions for Whyte/Povetkin this weekend? I give it 60/40 in Whytes favour. The longer this goes on the more Povetkin will fancy his chances though. I cant agree to single leg knockout in the Champions League. It'd just end up devaluing the competition as it becomes a complete lottery with regards to home advantage and everything. The risk is you'd get completely lopsided finals like you get in the domestic cup sometimes. Remember City 6 Watford...

Nah, could have been red.

Dangerous going in like that, can break a guys leg. It's a bit like in rugby when your shoulder makes contact with the oppositions head. Sometimes a bit unlucky but the onus is on the defender to prevent it from happening.
