Re: Are we heading to WWIII?
It's just weird to bring them into it. I guess you read a lot of Chomsky? Whatever the conversation happens to be, he manages to turn it into "America fault, America bad" in about 15 seconds. Obviously they're far from perfect, but we could do a lot worse for a global military/economic superpower. ...

Re: NZ Politics Thread
So, what are the casualties of the coalition talks 1) The Treaty referendum (no question mark here - the racists have had their nuts removed) 2) The pension eligibility age? I think it will be watered down, perhaps by an income test for a few years. 3) Allowing foreign buyers. Winnie don't like the...

Re: Are we heading to WWIII?
What's any of this got to do with the yanks? Well nothing of course. They’re just innocent bystanders, only ever coming to fray to protect the innocent, uphold justice, and promote democracy where it’s asked. They’d never hurt anyone or do any wrong. It's just weird to bring them into it. I guess y...

Yes. There’s no way the yanks give up their sweet hegemony without a fight, and everyday it’s slipping away from them. What's any of this got to do with the yanks? Well nothing of course. Re: NZ Politics Thread
There would have to be some Hamas type self implosion for Labour to get anywhere near a sniff of even the faintest hope out of this. I’d kind of like it just for the utter meltdown from the blue rinsers. But it’s not going to happen, they’d have to offer Winston Prime Minister, Finance, and every ot...

And Santana. 4 times. Tighter than a ferret’s flange, every time. I’m too young to have seen them perform ‘Soul Sacrifice’ at Woodstock, but I’d gladly swap my scrotum and barter my bell-end to have been there. The Santana show I went to devolved into bible thumping preaching. A real f**king downer...

Christ, the video is horrific. He must have bled a couple litres in around 5 seconds before they clipped the vid. I don’t know how you call that an accident. I suspect that player is going to see some trouble there.

If tournament rugby is what people wanted to watch and play, then why aren’t we doing it more than 3 weeks every 4 years.

You can’t possibly post a serious answer in this thread without coming across as a sore loser ref whinger. Modern rugby certainly makes me appreciate what I grew up with watching tight intense games officiated by Colin Hawke and Paddy Obrian. Only people 50 years and older will understand what we l...

Just watched replay on YouTube. Barnes pretty clear. “Player drops weight onto leg”. That’s what Frizell did albeit unintentional. Reckless? I suppose so.

I don’t think it’s a given running rugby needs to result in tries. It’s probably preferable but not particularly necessary.

Re: The Frizell yellow card.
Please go back and listen to the TMO. TMO highlights foul play. Shows Frizell falling onto players leg at ruck specifically highlighting Frizell falling onto players leg. Frizell yellow carded for foul play. TMO comes back with no red card upgrade because falling onto players leg at ruck was uninte...

Re: The Frizell yellow card.
Didn’t the TMO specifically highlight the leg as foul play? Refs have been told to watch out for things like this. Players falling onto other players at a ruck? There has to be 30 penalties a game just in that alone, if it’s specifically a yellow card situation for falling onto a leg at ruck time… ...

The pace and accuracy of his passing will be hard to replicate. Someone should do a YouTube montage of his career just passing from set piece or rucks. Some of it was just mind blowing and mostly displayed in Super Rugby. Hiffing a ball 15-20 meters at speed and pinpoint accuracy to a runner aiming...

They played like turkey’s and had ample opportunity to steal it, and didn’t. The real heroics was managing to stay within a score to take it.

Re: The Frizell yellow card.
They looked at him falling on the leg, I thought to begin with it was a bit of a neck roll as well. Was never a red, but yellow was fair. Maybe, I’m just not seeing the foul play in it. I’m not positive of Frizell’s entry to the ruck but falling on a bloke at ruck time must happen 30 times in a mat...

Yeah ref whinging and sore loser and all that. Anyone else feel this was quite a bizarre circumstance? Falling unintentionally on a blokes leg is a yellow card foul play infringement? Re: 2023 Rugby World Cup Final Match Thread - NZ Vs South Africa
Got to give the All Blacks credit really. We were never supposed to be here in this position, we’d shown no hint of being WC finalists at any time though this cycle, but to come within 2 points of taking the big prize with 14 men for near 50min of the game is a solid effort. Shame the hands for the ...

The proof will be in what Razor delivers. We could well lose every single game under Razor but the quality of play and consistency will be lifted immeasurably. For Fozzie though. 4 RC’s and Bledisloe defences V series loss to Ireland and a home/away loss to Argentina is fairly middled, but the way t...
