Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Piers O Connor, Bristol centre linked to Connacht by Rugby Inside Line. He's a decent player but we don't need centres. Even with Daly and Farrell leaving we have plenty of options, particularly young players coming through in Forde, Devine and Gavin. They need to be given opportunities next year. W...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Don't really get the outrage over the signing. If the provinces can only bring in 3 NIQ's now, the focus should be on quality. But there should be an emphasis replicated through the provinces. Not every top name has worked out- Kitschoff at Ulster and Muliania at Connacht to name 2 off the top of my...

Looks like Big Stu has the hump with Ferris. Feels a bit needy. https://twitter.com/Stuart_Mc12/status/1779251455171379685 Spot on from McCloskey. Ferris is over the top with his comments on Ulster at times, constantly with the ‘it wasn’t like that in my day’ tone. Actually like his analysis outsid...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Devine in one line break has done more than Blade in months Fact. Looked very lively bar one loose pass on the attack. Jennings offered way more threat at 15 than TOH too. Only positive out of that is seeing lots of young homegrown lads out there at the end- both Murrays, Devine, Jennings, De Buitl...

It'll be interesting to see if it means he'll be backup 13 to an SOB in his natural position should that Frisch lad leave. Molony leaving should open up a lot of URC game time for Deeny, Soroka and COT. Don't particularly rate Deeny, although he was decent at the weekend. Soroka could be more of a 6 and is always injured. COT, too young to tell. Molony will be a big loss, coming into his prime years. Still, can underst...

How much of an impact is the reduced number of URC games having on the Ulster squad do you think? Those games played when the internationals were unavailable were great opportuni...

Busby and the gang had a mare. Ralston decision was wrong, missed Ralston with a high tackle on Zebo late on, should've checked the Conor Murray challenge to Niall Murray, missed what I thought was an extremely reckless bang to Denis Buckley from Loughman and a dangerous clearout on Hansen.
