Re: Official Breturn thread

Can’t see the UK ever re-joining the EU, but it’s entirely conceivable that we could look to go for a softer Brexit and re-join the Single Market and/or Customs Union if this arrangement doesn’t work out (essentially what May was trying to achieve last year). Daresay we’ll spend the next few decades...

Re: Move over G Hastings...there's another bottler in town!

Burns over the try line against a French side in nthcsbh is the best one ever. Its better than the second placed London Irish Swan dive one. I still cringe at that one. He missed a few pretty simple kicks in that game as well. It was for Bath against Toulouse at the Rec, right in front of me (the u...

When’s Tuilagi due back? We’ve looked rather lost without him to give us a threat in the middle of the field - Farrell and Slade just don’t work as a pairing. France’s 3rd team just showed how few ideas this England side have if you turn up with a decent fullback and a mobile backrow that can hold ...

Re: Official Wales v England Match Thread

England have a real problem with knowing when to kick or pass. We made that game so much harder because of our glaring inability to play what's in front of us. And George Ford is absolutely shit-house at playing Eddie's 'kick good possession away' rugby. Ford is a 4/10 in the Telegraph. Harsh, he m...

Re: Official Wales v England Match Thread

France didn’t exactly blow Scotland away, either, so who knows with them. Their halfbacks and defence are both top drawer and Vakatawa will always be a threat, but their scrum is a weakness (almost unheard of for a French team!) and if we bring our best kick chasing game I’m not convinced their back...

Nah, your first choice backline is quality. Unusually for a French team, it’s your tight 5 who aren’t that good (including two tightheads who aren’t good scrummagers - again, very odd for a French team!).
