Re: The best All Round Rugby Player in the World incl. the 2023 RWC.

As I said earlier Damien Willemse is the best All round player in World Rugby. Jordie and Dupont would be just behind. Jordie is a better kicker and is an excellent 12, good 13 and would make a good 14 and 15. Dupont would have to lose weight to play in the outside positions to gain the pace but he ...

Re: The best All Round Rugby Player in the World incl. the 2023 RWC.

So Willemse scores higher at 12 than Jordie who is often talked about as the best 12 in the world? Maybe I've rated Jordie too much on the RWC final as I"ve seen little of him elsewhere. He tried his best to make things happen but perhaps he had no luck. Yeah... PSDT targeting him and no openside t...

That's a separate but excellent discussion.

I think DuPont could play any position in the backline to an international standard.

So, Jordie Barrett?

Edit: snap.
Good but not in the same class except the GK

I’d guess the point is he doesn’t know if it’s true and it seems likely that you don’t either. Red cards remain constant, no needs for players to adjust. Where it isn't trialled, red cards reduced as players adjust. Is the objective to reduce red cards? Is the objective safety? This is where we should look. Could it perhaps be an objective to improve safety without annoying fans who hate the...

The last 2 world cup finals have arguably been decided by issuing red cards for accidental collisions. The winning teams didn't give a hoot I agree, but as a spectacle the games were greatly affected. I had to laugh in the women's final when the first thing the English skipper asked was whether it ...

What should also happen along with the change is very long bans for malicious foul play. When I suggested the change and this goes back a few years ago, it was stop the game being spoilt.

As I suggested a few years ago, Red cards should only be for 20 min. For me Red cards spoil games and 20 minutes is a fair punishment and players can face the music with a hearing after the match.
