Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread

Barnes still plugging Earl as a centre in the Times. Interesting thought but I think he does more damage in the back row, not necessarily at 8. I haven’t jumped on the Pollock hype train yet. Suspect size will ultimately be his issue. I don’t understand why people do this. We seem to be the only na...

What’s happening with Marchant? I’ve not seen him linked with anyone, is he coming back to the Uk? There were rumours he was signing for sarries, which he denied. He may or may not have renewed with racing. I should think he'll only rush back if he's given guarantees. But he probably won't get guar...

Freeman to 13 and IFW in makes sense. Slade has had two of his best games for England in the last two weeks though. I'm not sure how SB changes that back row. Having the grunt and workrate of the three locks really supports playing with quick ball, allowing the better carriers to do their to thing....

More encouragement here. We know personnel needs changing but it seems as though it's moving the right way. Probably deserved to win, especially with Angus making some very poor decisions to keep us under pressure. One disappointing last was the amount we kicked the ball off and let France reset. W...

Really not controversial for me. Saw it in real time and gritted my teeth waiting for the arm to come out. Do a few of those get missed a game? Sure. Is it an illegal tackle? yes. It was a tired attempt he got wrong. Always a risk with those low tackles that the ball carrier's leg gets there before...
