I am in negotiations to purchase a site at home and even though it was posted as offers subject to planning approval the auctioneer is now stating that he is accepting clean offers only. Is that allowed? Our bid is 20% over ask.

I'm taking the old fella to Toulon in the morning. Flying to Nice and driving down. I was looking forward to it for ages, then got worried with all the injuries piling up, but I'm buzzing again now with that side. He turns 86 at the end of the month so I'm not sure how many more of these big away d...

My first look at Culhane the last couple of weeks, and I like what I see. The Leinster academy backrow production line continues. Culhane is a Glin man (and my second cousin); a stamp of quality that negates any malign Leinster academy influence. Zappa was his father the injured captain of the St M...

Road bowling. Played mainly in county Cork and Armagh. It's played on rural roads and the winner is who can get to the finish line in the least amount of throws. In Cork it's called bowling but the 'ow' part is pronounced like the 'ow' in wow. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B55T6OFCMAMr94J?format=jpg&...

I really don’t rate Conan. Has had 18 mths of good form out of nowhere. Think we have a lot better options and shifting Doris from 8 isn’t ideal. Thought Casey and Byrne started well but struggled badly in 2nd half. Wasn't really out of nowhere, he just started applying himself more. He was poor al...

The club game in Ulster will never have the resources to bring through players in a similar manner to Dublin's private schools, they largely still rely on grammar school educated and trained players filling out their ranks from u20s onwards, it's why at under 16 level we only have 8 clubs in the le...

:D For the life of me, I'll never understand the fuss about Carbery. 1-2 seasons for Leinster when he was quality and G Henry said he was good. Been living off that since. Has actually done a good job finishing big games for Ireland (ie kicking a penalty vs NZ every other year). I’ve no confidence ...
