Re: Reds v. Brumbies battle.

So - Josh Flook. Is it time for the hype train to leave the station? Only 19. Outstanding schools record against NZ. Bad luck with injury last year. Looks the goods now though. I thought he played well, but Stewart is the wrong partner for him, as the reds lacked midfield punch. Be interested to se...

Re: Wallabies 2021 OFFICIAL thread

Petaia could be our best 15 for a very long time, maybe ever. If thats the plan then playing him on the wing for now is good, maybe giving him some time at 15 late in test matches when possible. The guy has aerial skills, kicking skills, speed and positional awareness. Folau with actual fullback sk...

Re: Wallabies 2021 OFFICIAL thread

Just checked Ikitau's attacking stats from last night and they were dire. Maybe not an automatic selection for 13. Hopefully an aberration.

0 passes, 2 runs for 6m, 2 defenders beaten, 0 clean breaks.

Flook for comparison:

0 passes, 7 runs for 75m, 5 defenders beaten, 2 clean breaks.

LSL will be the first picked if he sorts his discipline issues out, which he seems to have done. I've come around to the JP at 15 call. 1. Slipper 2. BPA (so what if he's leaving) 3. Tupou 4. Philip 5. LSL 6. Valetini 7. Hooper 8. Wilson 9. White 10. JOC 11. MK 12. Paisami 13. Ikitau 14. Wright 15. ...

Robbed of that try. Was under control therefore not a knock on. Was a weird one. Everytime that happens normally, the decision is based on the ball carrier, not the tackler. My guess is the initial dislodging of the ball was called a knock-on You're less sober than I am therefore can't be trusted.

Re: Wallabies 2021 OFFICIAL thread

I’d like to see more of Anstee. Hes clarse. The Rebs have a decent pack but the backs have no penetration at all, due a lot to Matty Toomuas lack of creative ability. No way he can play 10 or 12 for the Wobs if we want to actually win a few games. Toomua perhaps deserves some blame but the Rebels b...

After the last 2 weekends: There's no way Toomua should be anywhere near the starting 15. Simply can't pass and can't put anyone into a gap. While the UQ technology is capable, a lot of funding is required if they want to go down the COVID-19 route. Phase I to III trials are very expensive. Maybe the AZ disaster will help with that.
