Re: First bit of sh!t hits the fan for ARU - Daugunu refuses to play

I guess if the Rebels were trying to get some pay back on the ARU, they've done a good job.

Re: First bit of sh!t hits the fan for ARU - Daugunu refuses to play

Legally I can understand why the aru did what they did. In my experience relocation fees wouldn’t typically sit inside an employment contract but a side letter. I’ve seen it done a couple of ways. 1) the company just does it all and you don’t lift a finger. Just be there when the movers rock up. 2)...

Re: Brisbane 2032 Olympics

Fair. Long term the Gabba is gone after 2030, so in terms of creating a legacy asset it’s still a fail. Don’t see why they can’t just do the Gabba up and keep it to the same footprint. Great public transport. Does it really have great public transport? How far is the nearest train station? Half hou...

Nathan will be a Homebush style white elephant also. No amenity, no transport links beside bus. They’ve really stuffed up this one. It's only for the athletics with temporary stands. Will be 14000 seats in the end. Suncorp will be the main one now. Total cost is about half of the new Vic park stadi...

Stadium planning is turning into a bit of a debacle. The idea of building a new stadium at Victoria Park was about the dumbest planning move for Brisbane I've ever heard. Finally get a massive new green space for the inner city, only to have it bulldozed for a white elephant stadium. Thankfully tha...

Started on the weekend. Was not good, along with the rest of the team.

They'll probably upset the Reds this week accordingly, with IFL having a blinder.

Wales are ranked well ahead of twice RWC winners Australia. They're still in their golden era.

Re: SRP Rd 4 - Rebels v Reds Match Thread

That’s probably about right besides Holloway. He’s lacking size but he’s smart, does the simple things well, can run a good line out and offers some versatility on the bench. Toss-up between him or Swain. He’s never done the business at test level, I’d prefer they move on and try to develop Swain (...

BOK was classic BOK. Rucks were a mess and he had to be reminded of two clear Highlanders knock ons even though he was looking at them. Brumbies scare me a bit. They've had an ordinary start to the year but their systems are starting to fire. They look a bit shit compared to the last few years IMO....

Cripple fight this one. Brumbies lucky to be still in it. Ruck work is woeful. Their backrow is doing nothing.

No offence to anyone, but that was gash Either team plays like that against (say) the Hurricanes, and it’ll be a bloodbath Loose defence around the ruck, no goal line effort, crazy park-footy stuff. The Reds didn't play like that against the Hurricanes. Got the bonus point. Went silly for a while w...

Rebels were good there for 10 minutes when the Reds went to sleep. Otherwise gash. Few issues for the reds though . Took the foot off the throat, as Australian teams do.
