I was going through some of my dad's stuff with mum the other day and I'm now the owner of 2 lovely watches. The omega that mum bought him unfortunately seems to be impossible to find parts for, but I'm looking into it, but the other is a brand that had slipped me by. Anyway, it's a beautiful thing...

Well, finally, after a very long wait I am picking up my grail watch on Monday. I know they are horrifically overpriced and there are better watches for the price, but it is a sub, end off. http://b-i.forbesimg.com/arieladams/files/2013/09/Rolex-SUBMARINER-NoDATE-047.jpg Unfortunately I had to part...

I'd read the book first if I were you and check whether your wife might like it. I don't think it's that well known so maybe that tells you something. I also think that particular dealer is expensive and to pay so much for a dud story is probably not a good idea. These might help: https://www.ilab.o...

No you weren't. The British and French were fighting the Germans and the Turks and taking a pretty heavy pounding in 1916.DOB wrote:No, we were fighting the lads who beat the Imperial German Army (with the aid of the Yanks among others).

They seem to have a good enough rep, but probably more German assembled than Swiss made. The Eta 2824 is bullet proof though. You appear to have got a good price but it is still costly if you compare it to the likes of Steinhart or Archimede. This sums it up. The movement is fine and spares/repairs...

Re the props, I did a lot of tape watching. My view is that the issues are compunded thus: 1) Marler, illegally, does like to get in on an angle, by pulling the TH in and then himself twisting out and around. 2) Lawes, his lock is scrummaging very high behind him. 3) add the 2 together, and when La...

Horrible news for them if they have to miss out on a WC. Both great players and seemingly good blokes, especially Halfpenny. That doesn't mean I want Wales to win any matches, of course, but I don't want them to lose because two good lads are ruled out through injury.

Those that win will say it gives them a massive boost going into the competition. The team that loses will say it was really useful to experiment with options against top opposition and will give them a big boost going into the completion.
