That is the worst proposed All Black team I have ever seen. Size isn't everything. Even if it was, that's not even our most powerful team. You'd find a spot for Faingaanuku and MMT at minimum. Yes I had hopes for Fainga'anuku but he had a disappointing NPC final. He was comprehensively outplayed by...

Jamieson skittles Gill's stumps to become the fastest to 50 wickets for NZ. Beat Bond by 3 tests. That is some effort.

Re: Black Caps Tour of India OFFICIAL Thread

Losing Williamson the stroke of lunch isn't ideal. Still a decent session though, but I get the feeling there's a collapse in this pitch somewhere. From here I think our best chance is to try to bat til lunch tomorrow (far easier said than done) as I don't fancy batting last here. If it ends up fair...

Re: Black Caps Tour of India OFFICIAL Thread

I'm looking for this pair to re-establish themselves in the first half hour or so then for the team gradually to build the pace and tempo of the innings, the target being to bat India out of the test by stumps today. We do not want to be chasing any decent target on the last couple of days on this ...

England in 2003? (Even though that was a 1 off game)

France 09 and the Lions 17 were drawn, but I think youre right that England 03 was the last loss if you want to count that.

Still pinching myself that we've gone from not being able to buy an opener (looking at you, Jamie How do I keep getting picked) to chucking in any old middle order batsman and they smash it (Blundell at the MCG, Conway at Lords, even Mitchell at the WC, and now Young in India).

Great effort from Southee today - especially given he was seemingly injured yesterday + the conditions.

Won't matter when Aswin takes 7/31, but this is a decent effort so far given India chose to bat.

Something I hadn't realised: we have two tests in SA next year, and according to one article I saw they come at the start of TRC, following 3 against Ireland. Yeah, to be clear, I give us a 2/5ths of f*ck all chance of winning anything. It's just that that happens to be better than our odds on previous tours, which were 1/5th of f*ck all.

It will be an achievement if we perform better than we did in Australia.

Still WORLD TEST CHAMPIONS, though.
