Re: RC2021 R3 New Zealand v Argentina - SUN SET 12 - 07:05 UTC - CBUS Super Stadium, Gold Coast - Australia

What does the Referee Berry have against Argentina? The Yellow on Matera. Matera receiving an above the neck shoulder from Laulala overlooked First tackle of the game? He was obviously happy with the arm wrap. Great tackle. Matera was the victim of the team warning Berry gave the Pumas for repeated...

Re: The Ardie Savea conundrum - where does he fit in a full strength All Black's backrow, if at all?

Cane is the best defensive player we've had in the last 30 years. High tackle rate (puts him ahead of Kaino and Collins), and dominant in the tackle (puts him ahead of anyone currently playing). Also a good link player, passer and physical breakdown presence. More than anything he's a very accurate ...

Re: The Ardie Savea conundrum - where does he fit in a full strength All Black's backrow, if at all?

Savea should be on the bench at best. Both Savea and Akira are destructive style players, they don't set a platform for others to work off they take advantage of a platform created by others. A balanced backrow should have one destructive type and two constructive types. The base work needs to be mo...

Even that 80% could be a stretch. I'd say it's an underestimate. Even the ones listed by Mungoman are debatable. I know this is going to annoy a lot of people off. I don't think I've seen Dmac play two worse games. I agree, he's really struggling with his role in the team right now. Akira had his best game in black. Never lacked the ability. Now keep picking him, get 30 tests under his belt, and let him grow into it. I'll go along with that, Akira has become the no 6 the AB's have been looking for. All three loosies played well last night. Savea, despite his sin binning, worke...

Some clueless comments about Dalton.
He made a few mistakes but overall he was immense.
Hit rucks, made tackles, great linking play, one of the backbones of the AB forward effort.
You need players like him laying a solid platform.

Papali'i was the best loose forward last night with Ioane close behind. Savea was mediocre by his standards. What's the point of hitting rucks with 0 turnovers to show for it? as a 7 that's basically your job. Stats don't lie. Akira was the standout in defensive and offensive stats, 2nd Ardie, last...

I do understand the allure of Reiko at 13. His pace in the 13 channel can be near unplayable if he gets all the other parts of his game together. Re: Steinlager Series: All Blacks vs Fiji: MATCH THREAD: Sat 10th July

Really obvious the ABs don't play the rucks anything like it's done up north. Supporting Fiji players don't exactly go off their feet but they do just lie on top of their own tackled players and bind to them which is virtually impossible to move. I wouldn't completely trust size stats, some were probably recorded as 20 or 21 year olds when they first came into their Super squads.
I think Sotutu and Frizzell are easily above 110kg and Cane is around 108kg.
