Re: Sturgeon, Covid and Scottish political stuff
I took my wife and Edi Uni daughter to Southside Scran. It was absolutely superb. That was last Autumn. Staff were excellent and knew their stuff. A very nice night. Finished it off with a couple of hours in Bennet's. Just a superb bar although Wee Bennet's is (was in the 1990's) great too. Such gre...

Re: The Whisky Thread
I have lapsed and am down to only a couple of bottles left. Poured myself a very generous “leap frog” last night. The wife complained about the smell, she hates whisky but especially something like a Laphroaig and she headed off to bed and left me to watch TV. A win-win situation if there ever was o...

Re: PR Depression, Anxiety and Suicidal
As posted before I have health anxiety and since COVID was not feeling too bad. Probably something else to take my mind off my perceived health issues. However over the past 2 weeks I was getting down and blood pressure was rising rapidly. So went to the docs (telephone style) and after discussions ...

So lockdown distance still 5 miles from your home unless your are meeting friends or family. I am going away in motorHOME next week and only go file miles from that. Or meet a friend 30 miles away. I know it is hard to define 100% what is in or out, but if a numpty like me is thinking like this, so ...

BBC Springwatch is coming from the Cornwall Beaver Project.
Just watched an interesting piece when the young lady was talking about the stuffed beaver she had. Phrases like ....the business end of a beaver ... made my day.
Not the first time I admit to watching films with beavers in them,

Train from Nairobi to Mombasa ... bowels decided it was time to evacuate themselves so I made my may to the toilet. It was not so much of an Eastern toilet, just a hole in the floor. Also no lock on the door. And a training moving meaning it was jumping about like mad. So shoes off, trousers and pan...

Slight abuse of thread, but I'm looking at getting a camera for some video work and was looking at a Panasonic GH4 - any bordies got any useful advice before I buy? General consensus seems to be it's pretty good, and it's dropped a fair bit in price since the GH5 and GH5s have come out. I use an Ol...

I have some some cigarettes over the past 40 years. Some but not many. I do however like a nice Cuban Cigar and have 1, maybe 2, at the weekend. I also go for the petit corona sized smokes now rather than the larger side when I lived in the Middle East and they were tax free. On thing about the lock...

No but we have throwing axes and knives. We have some rounds in the trees in the garden and creep around trying to stick them in the targets. Good fun and they make a really good noise when they thump and stick into the wood. More often than not, a pretty crap sound as they do not stick in.
