Re: The best Irish thread ever
Connacht back row is very tidy with Prendergast, Jansen and SHL. Prendergast maturing into a really fine player now. Not sure he’ll ever be a regular international but you can see why Farrell selects him in every squad. His back row partners could be in the mix soon enough. Connacht prop depth looks...

Connacht going with their young props next season? Seeing as it looks like Aungier is going to Munster and Dooley back to Leinster.Porterbelly1 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2026 7:10 pm Looks like Dooley going back next season. Had been expecting more out of him for Connacht but he’s been pretty meh.

Sheehan overthrow at the lineout gave an England that last chance. Not sure the ref change has done Ireland any favours either. They were in a rhythm with Piardi.

Of the starting team, is there anyone people unanimously thought played fine? I'm proposing: Sheehan (not at his outstanding best but fine) Clarkson McCloskey Osborne :?: Thought C Prendergast was fine. Was pretty much the main lineout option while he was on. Think he won a turnover. Not really evi...

Re: The best Irish thread ever
Athletically we are falling way behind France and England. Even Scotland and Wales probably have a couple more really good athletes than we do. They just don’t have our depth.
We just don’t have that combination of size, power and speed anywhere really. It’s all very one paced.

Re: Official France vs Ireland - 6 Nations 2026
Ireland set piece was actually very good.
Ireland tried to move away from their phase play game to more of a kicking game that most others are playing. Unfortunately they couldn’t recover any kicks. If you can’t do that under these rules you’ll be in trouble.
