Re: The Training Thread - all aspects of fitness and health

Evening all. I was watching someone on tele arguing on an internet forum, and I literally just 'remembered' PR! So I thought I'd drop in and say Hi. Hope everyone is very well and the gains are varied and plentiful 💪 It lives! I fear it's a fleeting appearance, but it's cool to see this thread, and...

Re: Christian Wade: Wasps winger quits rugby union for NFL

For what it's worth I know Wade and his agent pretty well, and he was carrying a leg knock on the combine. He had posted noticeably quicker in practice the week before so was really disappointed with his 40m on the day.

If you think a bit of civil disobedience to force action against the biggest threat to all life on earth is disruptive you're going to struggle to comprehend the continued effect of climate change and the 6th great extinction.

The one thing I've noticed over the last few years is that there appear to be more people getting angry about the existence of veganism than angry vegans. For what it's worth I think it's flawed intellectually as an environmental concern but I think everyone could do to acknowledge that our desire f...

She's a breastfeeding mum. She's not on drugs.

Ultra endurance events are about as gender neutral as sport gets for many reasons such as fat metabolism, shorter legs, heat dissipation and on. The longer the race the more likely a woman can win it and far more women finish such races than men.

Better re-discover his running game, then. Been underwhelming this season. I think a lot is down to this. From what I hear he just became totally disenfranchised with rugby after realising nothing he could do would get him higher honours and he then impressed NFL at some footwork camp. Who said he ...

Grew up on RAF bases so heard a fair few booms. Big one in Germany where someone buzzed the tower and all our windows broke a good mile away. Even with experience jet noise is unreal. I was at the top of a peak in the Lake District a decade ago and two jets on low level training came out of nowhere ...

Which reminds me of this. How far were you allowed to roam when you were a kid? In the 1980s, we didn't walk to school, but I think they'd have walked it in my grandparents' day, possibly my parents' day as well (3kms at most). 1. 'Black' isn't something that identifies someones genetic heritage. There is more genetic diversity between Nigeria and Ethiopia then Norway and Japan.
