Rega Planar 3,NAD 3020 and AR 18’s bought in 1981. Left school and got a job working for the summer. Went to Ruus Andrews in Edinburgh with my cash, best mate and my Dad. I had enough for a Dual CS505, NAD and AR's. Heard them and the sales guy said, listen to the next level up and put the Rega in....

Barn owls are nocturnal so unlikely to be a threat. They do cause problems when you re-build a barn and you have to be careful. Same with bats as I know to significant cost. I've never seen a parakeet here but it looks like they have made homes all over the place! I might pop a pic up of my young d...

Re: Wild parrots in UK ?

Would any native fauna prey on them ? A kestrel ? Cat ? Kestrels do prey on birds. Possibility. Doubt a cat could get to them but parakeets eat fruit and seeds and are largely ground feeders so a cat might have a chance. Peregrine falcons, sparrowhawks, hobbies and barn owls all go for them. The fi...

Mate of mine runs a reclamation yard. About 10 years ago, couple of 'travellers' drove in, picked up a slate fireplace and proceeded to drive straight out.
