Re: The official cycling thread

Right, so if my HRM shows a number that is more than 220-age, it's just a case of either a) the guideline is off, as it probably is with most people anyway and/or b) a wrist-based HRM probably isn't the most accurate. DOB do a ramp test to find your actual HRmax if you are are using HR zones in you...

Achtung Tokyo cabalistas, no shows, the otherwise engaged.

Genki? I had my first rugby practise sunday, since I did my shoulder last August. @kiwias I will send you a FB request, @snapper can get me through that. I probably won't move to another board, but would be up for a cabal in the future. Maybe meet the elusive Mat the ex-pat. Goeagles I await your re...

Lots of jalopy there from the Scottish loser. At least SBW has never lost to Japan. Hoggs trophy cabinet is full of moths and spider webs, compared to SBWs, which is bursting with his Union and League trophies. What a tosser, Mr Hogg. That isn't true. I posted a link at the time.

@kiwias@teranakisnapper Game day I am going to the stadium with family and friends. For the playoff today I will probably stay home. Sunday I can meet for lunch. My Meiji friend has plans in Izu so cannot come. (My club has all member games in Hodogaiya with an aftermath function on Sunday. However ...

To the best of my knowledge, the England vs Aus qf will not be shown on the big screens inside the stadium so I reckon we should leave after lunch at 2:30-ish and go straight to the fan zone in Chofu. sculler, you good with that? Scotland probably have a better chance of winning if it's played in an empty stadium.

There is no specific update from JapanRail about the resumption of services my end. However the news is reporting in the afternoon. The local mall will open @2.

So a WR decision is contingent on what they know about the transport situation amongst other things. Fingers crossed.

I am going to the game (and the next day) so am undecided. Shinjuku is good for me though, I can do it direct from the front door. Don't arrange anything just for me though. There are 2 semis and a final yet for cabaling.

Tsurumi, my old paddling ground, I was afloat there when we had the big shake.
