Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

The IRFU aren't going to give up on their pet project until they get some silverware out of it. Ulster's success over the last few years is largely due to the high-profile NIQs they brought in with extra IRFU funding. The IRFU are continuing to help them out by directly paying the wages of bit-part ...

One thing that happened today and has been picked up on here before and from watching Leinster. Despite having a very good game, his best Ireland game to date, Cronin does seem to have difficulty striking the ball in the scrum. That crooked feed from Murray wasn't as blatant as maybe a season ago b...

For all the crying (which is great, keep it up  ), I'd say 7 of the Leinster starters have basically no competition for their positions: Healy, Ross, Heaslip, SOB, Sexton, BOD, Kearney. Dave Kearney clearly based a lot of his game on old Dowling tapes alright. Aye, they offer a good slow motion guide on how to play as a winger. Kearney scored twice in 20 mins the other day, isn't that two more than Dowling got in his entire career? And the same amount as Fitzgerald has managed in ...

It's not the worst team all told. Bent's a former loosehead so shouldn't be an issue. Plenty of quality in the backline even if there might be issues gelling. Is it on TV? Earls playing centre has coincided with Zebo being the best winger in the country over the last two years. A look at Zebo's highlights shows Earls being heavily involved in many of time. Coincidence?
