Re: Coronavirus Thread. Virus v humans
We may not have much in the way of vaccinations but our pubs are open and doing a roaring trade. We seem to be nearing the trough of the second wave. Only 97 deaths yesterday and about 700 new cases. Very hard to nail down an exact reason for the dramatic drop off. Adherence to lockdown regs in Sou...

Either that or their leaders are true alpha males, of course. Welded their people's homes shut, it's the only way to be sure. Talk about authoritarian governments..

The biggest cause of injuries is the size of modern players. Well, that and the match congestion.

One of those players who was a legend even when he was playing (which is mighty rare). I wonder if the game will ever see his like again.

No substitutes (except for injuries verified by a neutral doctor) would make a major difference to some of the huge specimens we currently see in the game. As would better drug testing, of course.

Re: Coronavirus Thread. Virus v humans
I note that, according to Worldometers, the USA has had more COVID-associated fatalities since 31 December last year than the UK has had in toto . Farkinell... US is about 5 times the population size of the UK. Meanwhile, we're nearly a sixth of a year into 2021. The deaths per population look comp...

Good 10 min card period for France. But they're being peppered at the back with the ball in the air.

Re: That Jonny May try
There have been some absurd attempts to suggest May didn't jump. Chipspike is clearly one eyed on all matters English. Eg his contention that a jump involves landing on your feet. I would love to see him disqualifying high jumper after high jumper for not jumping. Equally the suggestion that ...

Interesting, I had quite the opposite reaction to his performance against Wales yesterday. Against England last week I thought he was fairly poor on the whole. However, yesterday he seemed to do a lot of correct things and actually played far more of a percentage game. So much so that it's even poss...

Just to add my entirely anecdotal evidence to the list. My mother got the AstraZeneca vaccine on Thursday, and my sister (who is a Doctor) also got hers on Thursday (Pfizer one). My mother is little sore but generally OK, and my sister has been bed ridden for 3 days (but she's a new mum who is brea...

Watson and May very sharp today. May's try was very well finished, in particular. Robson added pace and proper passing when he came on (surprise surprise) I am a huge fan of Robson but anyone coming on at that stage of the match would have made hay. It's what he does when he's thrown on in the teet...

It's quite clear he's only there for box kicking and 'control'. Very negative mindset from the coach. Looks like a guy more worried about losing his job than about building the best team he can. Eddie has a very negative stats based methodology to the way he likes England to play; even down to atta...

Real mixed bag wasn't it. As you say, it was good to see a bit more invention and Sinkler looked dynamic (though not MOTM dynamic). Both wingers were hungry and sharp, always asking questions. Itoje good (standard). In the negative column - youngs. Enough said. Billy. Ditto. Also, what does Ewels ac...
