Re: Italy v Australia
It's not about coasting but Schmidt is all about small margins in a game that's already about small margins. Lose focus for whatever reason (mental exhaustion ended up being the problem with Ireland) and that quickly becomes a problem. Didn't see this game and maybe doing Italy a discredit talking ...

Re: Wallabies 2025: Revenge of the Schmidt
We have settled into a version of how JS pushed Ireland up the rankings. One dimensional game of one out brutality in close before relying on individual brilliance at the end of many phases. Its not working as our individual brilliance has been severely watered down and we don’t even have the muscle...

Crims? No Aussie should be triggered by this. The same way I'm not triggered by the occasional sheep shagger comment (I'm from Taranaki, a dairy farming region, we fudge cows. It's harder, you need a step ladder!). Italy were good today and deserved the win. Wobs seem to have a problem with getting...

Wallabies are gash………… Absolute crap. Predictable and without an ounce of creativity.
No disrespect to the Azzuri. Congrats.
The revival under Schmidt has been short and now only a vague memory.

Re: Wallabies 2025: Revenge of the Schmidt
I hope he is not the best. Lynagh, Donaldson, Carter, JOC, Lolesio all obviously better than him and a few young guys better as well. Even Stewart probably has better skills. If it’s not Schmidts fault then whose is it? Not Edmeds. It was not only him. We were flat footed all night in the forwards a...

Re: Wallabies 2025: Revenge of the Schmidt
Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish…
Harry Potter had a decent game but the rest was crap. Our worst performance for a while. Edmed is not test standard. We were static across the park in attack and clueless defensively.
It’s going to be up to Kiss to reshape us for the RWC. Schmitty has one foot out the door.

Re: Wallabies 2025: Revenge of the Schmidt
Swain is a good edition. As someone alluded too, far better than Canham at this point. His lineout is top notch. He just needs to keep his head, which he has been doing well of late. We have a lot of running in the back row so set piece and core duties for him as a back up to Frost and Skelton. Dis...

Yes. It’s too bad as he has been a great servant for Qld and JSs first chosen captain for the Wobs. I guess he is now high risk?
A stint in Japan might be good to test the body. Good luck to him. By all accounts a top man.

Re: Wallabies 2025: Revenge of the Schmidt
The Tahs with Gordon at 9 wouldn’t make the finals if they had a Time Machine and the 2004 Blues’ backline. Gordon and Medhead should disappear from future Wallabies considerations. I suspect that Gordon and Edmed will start every test for the rest of the year. I guess it depends on how close CG is...

Our scrum has been rock solid since shortly after he came on deck. And that with the same players who had been getting pushed around by most other scrums previously. The guru indeed. What about JOCs kicks too touch? Maybe some of those jokers in PR calling him the best 10 in Australasia jinxed him. Pretty poor, can't remember any 10 kicking that poorly in many a year. There are 10's in the Womens game with better kicking Best 10 in Oz doesn’t say much right now. I’d guess it wo...

Ryan Lonergan looks the goods. Plays a bit like Whitey and a bit like Gordon. Looks crisp.
He and Tate to take us through.
LSL mostly good but just not as accurate as the others. Made some massive tackles and the ABs knew he was out there. Big Willie in next week.

It blows me away that we cannot find a spot in the Soup for JOC. Watching the SRAU games Max Fury was by far the best 10 on display, and he is not really even a 10. Keep him on board for the next couple of years. He looks in good nick. Meredith and HMP are nearly good 10s, but definitely not ready ...

Agree with that on Edmed. Just not even close to being ready. I doubt he will ever be. I’d guess Lynagh and Donno for the Bled. Mungo too. So passive in attack and defense. We really missed Frost. Paisami kicks too easily and he was once again loose in the carry. Showed some good things as well. Kel...

Wallabies under strength in a number of key positions but still played some good footy in the second half.
Congrats Argentina.
