Re: The OFFICIAL English and European Football (soccer) thread

Leicester were very, very poor against Slavia Prague. So poor, I didn't know they had it in them. Barnes is the player who keeps the whole engine purring so you could put some of it on that. But they've coped before. That was a Mourinho's Spurs performance so obviously the priority should be to sho...

Re: India v England test series

Anyone mind explaining to me what Root was talking about post-match? He describes the selection as a slight misread. Then he goes on to say that the ball was hooping around all over the place during the practice days ahead of the test. These two statements are incompatible. It also seems from what h...

Very real chance of less runs been scored in this match than in the New Zealand v Australia T20 match overnight.

Well this match is over. What utter sh#te. The last two pitches :x And this is the venue for the final match. Surely the ICC will have to dish out fines for these pitches. They're distorting the cricket.

I think it's actually healthy that these concepts are now getting defined precisely in law. I saw someone, presumably on the FB side, arguing that a car maker shouldn't be charged for installing a radio receiver for the consumption of broadcast content. That's slightly disingenuous because the car d...

Thought the commentary team was blind. In real time it looked most likely the defender's kick towards Giroud. Actually surprised it took so long for VAR - think they were dealing with limited/non-ideal camera angles.

Jose is poison. He'll never get another big job again after this debacle. I'm just glad West Ham have won their last two games. Pretty average squad over achieving with a reality check run of games coming up.
