Absolutely. I wasn't sure if the kick off was mandatory but if it wasn't, the Saders shat the bed there.

Re: Waratahs vs Crusaders Match Thread
Neither of the Bell brothers can throw and neither can McAllister, it seems. Have NZ hooking stocks ever been lower? I mean it's great when forwards can run great yards around the field and make awesome tackles. They are generally called flankers. You also need guys to perform core skills like throw...

Re: SRP Round 6: Crusaders vs Chiefs
The difference being that Bell is only 21 and has time to fix it, like Aumua is starting to. Next WC cycle he's 25, just coming into his prime, there's plenty of time. He really shouldn't be starting yet at all. Oliver had plenty of time too, until he didn't. I find lineout throwing is a bit like g...

Re: SRP Round 6: Crusaders vs Chiefs
Agreed that Bell is a real talent. He clicks all the boxes and gets around with a high work rate. Having that kind of pace and a step to go along with it is a serious bonus. Reminds me of the wraps Oliver used to get from people who ignored his poor core skills. The difference being that Bell is on...

Re: What Do You Think Is The Reason First Marriages Have A Lower Divorce Rate Than Second/Third etc.?
Women initiate the majority of divorces. A good traditional woman will get married and stick to her wedding vows. A modern leftist woman will likely get "bored" of the man especially if he's a nice guy who let's her get away with behaving badly. She'll then move on to another man, wanting a nice tr...

Surprising things involving Sean Fitzpatrick
I was surprised to see a relatively low budget event on the news tonight involving people doing "manus" into Auckland Harbour. Until that is, one of the participants was revealed to be the great man, with the keys to the city, former Auckland, Blues and All Blacks rake Sean Fitzpatrick. You love to ...

Regardless of whether it's 150 or, as I suspect, 1,500, it's less about the individual and more about the team when it comes to banter on this very bored.

Hard to see the Reds seriously threatening the 'canes in this match but hope to be proven wrong, of course. I've been to one and one only Reds game at AAMI, with the Reds beating the Rebs on a rainy night. (The only other game I've attended at that stadium was a RL international - the first game at...

Not sure if this is the right spot but it’s going here. When I was 39 my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer (it was found on her 37th birthday). I thought Ireland looked very impressive. Certainly living up to their top tier ranking. Conversely I felt France were disappointing, and well below their best despite playing well in patches.

I'm just glad Barnes is gone. He was a good ref, but chalk and cheese when it came to the AB style of play. I used to load up on the opposition at the bookies when NZ had the misfortune of drawing him and his equally officious "RFU" team and usually did quite well.

Re: Ref did NOT help Springboks at RWC’ — World Rugby rubbishes cheating claims
Etzebeth was a cheat in the French game too? Didn't notice. His epic blurring of the lines in the final certainly had a major impact. Wandering into a hot AB attack at precisely the "wrong" time and then knocking the ball out of the AB hands at a crucial lineout. Fair play to him. He took his ...

Eden Park seems to have been unfairly lumped into the multi-purpose shitbox category. In reality it's a,rugby gound that can host cricket at a pinch. It's a fairly shite cricket ground with its small boundaries, but it is a fairly decent rugby stadium. Crucially, most seats are close enough to the a...
