Be easier just to do qualifications for a sport competition based on rankings at a set date, like the ATP finals . FIFA WC has long had plenty of utter chod from around the globe whilst omitting decent European & South American teams It’s the World Cup ‘finals’ - it’s not the entire tournament. We ...

Czech Republic, Sweden, Croatia and Turkey didn't make it; however they all had to fight it out with high-quality teams in a much more difficult division.

The structures for qualifying for pretty much every sport (including football and rugby) are based on trying to get the best teams to the tournament Is that so? The highest ranked team in Oceania is New Zealand (#83) yet they are guaranteed a spot in a tournament with 45 teams. This means there wil...

With a 95kg and 193cm frame, Gordon is also being considered as a potential No.12 in the mould of Jordie Barrett. He can also play fullback. The Reds, in particular, may view Gordon more as a centre given they are stacked with five-eighths for 2026. They have Lynagh and Harry McLaughlin-Phillips al...

Reds now have 4 good/decent flyhalves, 3 good inside centres, one good winger and bugger all at fullback. Campbell is serviceable super rugby fullback. HMP and Volavola can play there too. I’m a reds’ fan and would immediately swap him for the back/up fullback at any of the other Oz SR teams.

Losing Skelton early was crucial - on top of that we saw two Yellow Cards, which served to drain the tank. Without the likes of bench regulars Bell and Tate, there was far less PoW available to the Wallabies in the second half.
