Re: League players are no good in Union

As an Australian based poster, your statement that Rugby League is "far less than successful" than Rugby simply doesn't make sense. Perhaps that's the case in France and the UK? Re: League players are no good in Union

Just because it's Intense doesn't make it a great game enjoyable to everyone. Those who are used to seeing the variety of play and competition for the ball in rugby, would probably find the short pass, tackle x 5 and a kick routine boring and dumb. The shoulder charges and thugby acts in League don...

Most league players are suited to 12 because at 12, you have to be solid in defense, have vision and good hands. Outside this position RL players generally struggle with a few notable exceptions. He'd be bigger than Michael Hooper. His distribution skills isnt special. It's his ability to play at high intensity which leaves his opponents gasping struggling to keep up. He'd be bigger than Neil Back. As I said he'd need to add 10 kgs+. But his style would suit either position. It would take him years to add 10kg and he’d lose speed and agility. How would his style, which was the primary ball distributor, suit the role filled by Neil Back? It’s like putting Wally L...

I like the combinations Zakar posted. Would Wright go OK at 7? How did Valetini go in the last game? The previous games I saw him he didn't impress much. If size is the issue then 6. Valetini 7. McReight 8. Cale Bench - Wright It may well be that it’s too soon for Cale but he is by far the best Oz 8 so far this soup season. Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)

I’d personally be keen on adopting the Saffer tactic of bringing on the fast ‘openside’ after 30 mins or so. Let some big unit be a big unit and then bring on the Kwagga/McReight type when the big boys have slowed down.

In such a scenario, Liam Wright would fill Kolisi’s role.
