Re: Underrated rock and metal bands

I have spammed the metal and music threads with igorrr. Absolutely brilliant. TBF the modular rack he uses is no more or less an instrument than a DAW. True, but it’s a whole lot more complicated than with a DAW. Don’t get me wrong I love electro stuff DAW crafted, I’m not an analog purist, really ...

Re: Underrated rock and metal bands

Igorrr, they should be the word on everyone mouth but they are still underground. Listen to their last album. No, it’s not a plugin/virtual instrument/DAW wizardry you are earing. It’s all played with real instrument by real musicians. Those effects? Analog synth magic filtering + tons of genius. Th...

I just entered the thread to post something similar :D Man, I really tried to listed to them because of the fame that they had among some of my friends. But god, they are so effing boring. I think the singer has no charisma whatsoever, he sounds so ... generic. Maybe that is what ruins them. Here t...

Re: Overrated Rock & Metal Bands

It amazes me how music is perceived subjectively. I love all Patton’s stuff, from FNM to Mr.Bungle, Fantomas to Mondo Cane. I love Anthrax first Belladonna era, I rate those LPs the best thrash has produced along Megadeth’s RIP and Pantera’s classics. I love those classic grunge bands, love the RHCP...

She was my friend’s mom. She was 72. She was in hospital since January with a pancreatitis. She was recovering well, should have been home by the end of march, she saw her daughter, my friend, for the last time at the beginning of march before hospital’s closure. Then came the Covid, at first my fri...

I’m no math expert, nor a virologist, so I won’t draw conclusions or theories. I’ve taken data from the Italian institute of statistics: flu and pneumonia death toll for the year 2014 was 9413. One month since the first death and we are already near 7000 Covid related casualties, in 3/4 days 2014 wi...

Re: Coronavirus: Is the cure worse than the problem?

The economic devastation and misery that will result from the isolation measures will far exceed the benefit to society of saving several million, mostly elderly and infirm people. Its awful to say. I realise that. But it is a cold fact. There is a very real prospect of mass unemployment, social un...

Hospitals here are more than full, you have to be in trouble with your lungs to get treatment. If you are over 69 years old you’ll be sent back, whatever the symptoms. Sorry for coming back to this but just want to be clear: Anyone who is aged 70 or above... is now a write off in that part of Italy...
