Re: POTUS-DONALD TRUMP-and U.S. Politics catch-all
I reckon it's in the Dems best interest not to impeach him. Let him try and run in 2024, either as a Republican or an independent. Works out for them either way. I agree. They won't convict him so it's a waste of time anyway. Is it a waste? It's incumbent upon the Democrats to crush this stain on h...

True. The numbers are just numbers at this stage. They just give you a direction. Anyone remember being in awe of the numbers from Italy back in Feb?

Re: Rugby NAMA thread Revisited Rugby
I'd imagine we have peaked in cases already. The subsequent restrictions will start to bring the numbers down. Any increases we see in daily numbers will be backlog I guess. Deaths and hospitalizations? Probably a different story.

Re: POTUS-DONALD TRUMP-and U.S. Politics catch-all
The reason I am enjoying this result is that it "might" show Republicans that the benefits of Trump are being outweighed by the negatives. I'm sure right now they'd prefer to go back to a more passive and disinterested voter population.

Re: POTUS-DONALD TRUMP-and U.S. Politics catch-all
Fonzee, do you think the Republicans will double down now on being Trump-like (for want of a better term)? He has obviously built up a massive and active base for them but at the same time he seems to have activated an even larger anti-Trump turnout. Seems to be pushing away the more moderate conser...

Press Up own Captain America's now, don't they? Yeah they do. I brought the little one there for her birthday party last year. Great for nostalgia. Covid-willing, I’ll bring the chiselers home for a Christmas before they get too old, and we’ll take them for the Panto in the Gaiety and chicken nugge...

Re: Rugby NAMA thread Revisited Rugby
Again Italy is a good example of a western country eventually doing all the right things to shut down the initial wave but not being able to contain it longer term. China shut it down once and once only. If the answer is "act like China", then we're asking the wrong question. Not saying we act like...

If only we had an example of a country where a hard lock down worked. The real sin of this is that we pussy footed around with half lock downs and trying to keep everyone half happy back in the spring. Result is that no one is happy and we are still pussy footing around. NZ? Oz? Their natural facto...

Re: POTUS-DONALD TRUMP-and U.S. Politics catch-all
Couple of questions. Who won most counties where Dominion machines were used? Of these which were backed up with paper recounts? The counties dont matter of course, it's the states. If I was a Democrat with intent of committing fraud, it would be the red counties I would target as opposed to the bi...

They’re just dying to jump on a BLM/defund the police bandwagon because it fits an American woke narrative that they have aligned themselves with. Risk management is what engineers do. Any fool can, for example, design a building/structure that won't fall down; doing it using the minimum required materials to ensure safety and stability is were the trick lies, and how engineers earn their bread.
