Re: Rugby NAMA thread Revisited Rugby
I went to primary school in Ballymun in the 90s and I'll tell you it is like night and day. The redevelopment took a lot of the community out of the place. The area was much more focussed around the centre back then but it was rough as fudge and it needed a change. Now the western Finglas touching ...

Re: The best new and returning TV series of 2022?
Letterkenny Season 11 starts in April. Only recently got onto that show and have binged all 10 seasons in the last couple of weeks. Took me a bit to get into it but I think it's neat. Some of the funniest shit I've seen in years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tlLejVE_x0 That looks worth a watch....

Gonzaga lately remind me a bit of the Ireland under age teams. Really well drilled. Whoever is in charge of the program there is doing a good job.

if Germany and France had spent more on "defence" what difference do you think that would make today in terms of whats happening in Ukraine today ?....and are we saying that Trump was pushing a green agenda ? do you think he'd be pushing wind farms if the US didn't already have a sh1t load of oil ?...

Gonzaga vs St. Marys today at 2pm. Players to watch Gonzaga: Hugo Mclaughlin(15) & Jody Brown(12) St. Marys: Andrew Sparrow(3) & Louis McGauran(8) I'll have to nip down to that. Who do you expect to win? will be very close, but if I had to bet Id say Gonzaga. It feels weird to see them as favourite...

That's it - we have an abundance of carriers now and our style reflects that. Beirne seems to be poacher in chief these days but you dont need one so much when you enjoy the possession game which Ireland do these days.

I wouldnt argue against his carrying has improved in so much as all good young pro's improve the facets of their game. But he has certainly been afforded more opportunity to display his carrying with Doris and Conan doing their thing beside him.

His improvement in carries since the last world cup has been insane. Looks so much more dangerous on the loose now. I disagree on this, VDF has always carried well, he always accelerates into contact and always hits arms/shoulders rather than the body so he makes yards. What he lacks in outright po...

That was a fantastic way to finish. Some great players there but the focus seems to be on the team. I wouldnt be surprised to see Boyle in the World Cup squad which would be fairly amazing for a young prop.

I think its interesting that Joey Carberry came on so late v England and Scot (80m and 74m respectively - 64m v Wales for comparison*). It does not seem like he is overly trusted by the coaches after a meh game v France and sub meh vs Italy. I think his armchair ride will come to an end under Farre...

Yeah it was terrible timing on Joey unfortunately. All the talent but doesnt have the all important top few inches. I'm not sure it matters much anymore. People are fairly stubborn on who they support these days and are able to twist or spin things in their own heads to reconcile the worst of their party's faults. SF have a 30% core that they wont dip below any time soon. SF vote is 10% core and 90% 'they're the...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
We probably made a mistake picking both POM and VDF given the opposition. POM had no right to be out there really. And you'd have to wonder would Henderson have been picked on the bench if they knew he would have to play 79 minutes? Probably not looking at how out of sorts he was. I think it just re...

People have been singing the praises of the subs for steadying things but really the major factor in the last 15 mins was the fact that there were no scrums. That's cause the subs stopped dropping the ball so often. Murray slowed down the play (as is his natural skillset I suppose), Henshaw had no ...

I tested negative two days myself when I had symptoms and positive the day I felt fine again. Medical types are saying that is fairly standard with omicron. It doesnt get picked up in the nasal swap as quickly.

What do the NAMA regulars think of the Irish property market for the rest of the year? It was set to keep on going mental but a fuel crisis and massive inflation might temper that a bit. The supply of second hand homes in good suburbs is absolutely dire. People just aren’t trading down in this coun...

Lads, forget about getting favours from others, our focus should be winning our own games. I’m starting to get a bit worried by the noises making it sound a little like we might be considered favourites for Saturday. That rarely works out well, especially not against England. I'd say we're 5 points...
